kevin frowned a bit. it was a rather cold fall day today, and su complained about how cold it was. kevin couldn’t really relate, as he was basically immune to any cold or warm weather, but it certainly was colder than usual outside during this season.
his husband has always been a bit sensitive to the weather, yet he didn’t expect him to make such a… bold offer of taking a bath together. anything else wouldn’t have surprised kevin, but bathing together? usually, he and su both only take showers, and even then it’s only separate.
su only ever asks for cuddles or anything like that when he wants to warm up a bit, so him asking for a shared bathing session is something new.
“so, what do you think?” su asked. kevin stared at his husband, noticing his pleading gaze, and could only sigh. even if he wanted to say no, he couldn’t to his husband. kevin would gladly do anything su asked him to.
“…i’m not opposed to it,” kevin replied. he might agree to it, but that doesn’t mean he has to just accept it so easily. if su truly wanted it, he would plead a little more.
“please, kevin? i will even do the dishes today,” su offered. kevin was already satisfied with that, but he still decided to be greedy and ask for more. “will you cook ramen today too? we haven’t had it for a while…,” kevin mumbled, trying to act all innocent. “of course, honey. anything you want. i’ll do anything you ask of me,” su immediately replied, completely sincere.
“…okay then. we can go take a bath together, and go grocery shopping together later.”
su grinned one of his carefree smiles, the one he always does whenever he’s satisfied, and grabbed kevin’s hand to pull him to their bathroom. su was the first one to strip off his clothes, getting inside the large bathtub and letting warm water fill in.
kevin shook his head, exasperated at his husband’s childish excitement, but it was also quite cute to see. he took his time getting undressed, and then sat down in the opposite spot from where su sat. he had to admit, the warm water felt quite nice.
once the bathtub was completely filled, su closed the faucet, and completely relaxed into the warmth. “this is really nice,” he sighed satisfied.
they sat like this together for a while, just enjoying the warmth of the water and each other’s company. however, after a while, kevin began to grow restless and insisted on helping su wash his hair.
“turn around, su. i’ll wash your hair for you.”
“huh? what’s this about-?” su asked, confused because of his husband’s sudden antics, but let himself be turned around freely. he sat in front of kevin now with his back facing him.
kevin gently grabbed su’s hair and drained it in the water. then he grabbed su’s shampoo, poured some of it on his hand, and began to massage it on su’s scalp slowly. the grey-haired man enjoyed the massage his husband gave him, leaning into the touch.
kevin made sure to be very thorough with the application, and gave his husband a nice massage. “do you enjoy it?” he asked quietly, not sure if he was applying too little or too much pressure. “mhh. you’re doing great, sweetheart. keep going a bit more, it’s starting to feel really nice,” su replied.
“okay,” kevin replied softly. the blush on his cheeks was definitely because of the warmth, and not because of the pet name. (it was because of the pet name.)
while kevin was trying to reach a particular spot on su’s scalp, he accidentally got a little too close and pressed his chest against su’s back without noticing it. su didn’t say anything about it for a minute, waiting to see if kevin would notice it on his own.
however when he remained quiet, one of su’s shit-eating grin’s surfaced. “any closer and you’re basically on top of me, kevin dear. not that i would mind, but i think i prefer being the one on top,” su said smugly.
kevin finally noticed their position and turned into a bright red tomato because of what su said. “pervert,” the kaslana frowned, and immediately pulled away, deciding that was enough massaging the shampoo in.
su chuckled at his husband’s reply and allowed the other to wash off the shampoo with the shower head. kevin kept washing until he was sure it was completely out of su’s hair and put the shower head away.
“want me to apply the conditioner too?” kevin asked. “sure. but since when were you so thorough with washing hair, kevin. you’d think you would care less about it because of your short hair.”
kevin huffed in reply. “hair care is important, no matter the length. and besides… i wanted to help you wash your hair for once. since it’s so long, it must be quite a struggle every time to wash it.”
“also… i like it when you use the conditioner, it makes your hair so soft and makes it smell so good…,” kevin added quietly.
su chuckled. “are you finally admitting that you like my hair, kevin?” he asked teasingly.
“hmpf.” kevin didn’t say anything else, he just grabbed the conditioner and began to lather su’s hair with it. he massaged it into the roots especially carefully and then waited for about five minutes before washing it all off once more.
once his husband was finally done, su turned around, smiling softly. “thank you, kevin, really. i appreciate it.”
kevin blushed a bit, “don’t mention it.”
su continued to smile and leaned in closer to press a kiss on kevin’s lips. the kaslana returned it softly, closing his eyes and allowing su to deepen it slightly.
the two pulled apart again not long after, both washing themselves now, su also helping with washing kevin‘s short hair. kevin yawned a bit while su was massaging him, getting a bit tired from the comfy situation.
“someone feeling a bit sleepy?” su asked, chuckling at his cute husband. “a bit, yeah,” kevin replied, and leaned more into su. “you’re too cute, kevin.”
kevin didn’t mind the remark for once, too tired to reprimand su for it. he just wanted to get done with the bathing and then take a quick nap together with his husband so that he can fall asleep in su’s loving embrace.
“let’s wrap it up now, alright?” su suggested, considerate of the fact that kevin was getting sleepy. and he looked forward to spooning kevin too, so obviously, he wouldn’t say no to napping with kevin.
“mh… okay…” kevin’s reply was absentminded, already too far away mentally to properly reply to his husband. ‘so cute,’ su thought. he really was smitten with kevin. but who wouldn’t be when you have such a sweet and adorable husband?
su helped wash kevin’s body so that they could finally finish their bath, since he already washed his own. then he washed it off again carefully and pulled the bathtub plug to drain the water once they were both clean. su got out and helped kevin get out of the bathtub as well.
he dried them both off carefully, humming in delight at kevin’s cute sleepy behavior. “can you get dressed on your own, or do you want me to help you quickly?” su asked. kevin looked at him a bit out of it. “i would like the help…”
“okay, dearest. wait a minute, i’ll be right with you.”
su quickly wrapped up his hair in a towel so that it wouldn’t make their floor wet before he was able to air blow dry it, and then pulled kevin along into their bedroom once he was done. su pulled them both a pair of pajamas out, helping kevin put it on first before dressing himself.
“go lay down already, love. i will join you in a bit after i’m finished with drying my hair, okay?” su said softly, and caressed kevin’s cheek gently. the kaslana pouted slightly, not wanting his husband to leave.
“can’t you stay…?” he asked, a bit upset. su chuckled and lifted his hand to pull away kevin’s bangs, and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead. “don’t worry, kevin. i will join you the moment i’m done.”
“really?” kevin asked one more time, wanting to make sure that su really meant it. “really. i promise it, dear. if you wake up without me by your side then you shall feel free to slap me.”
“… okay. i trust you, su…”
su sighed when kevin took his offer completely to heart and mentally told himself to never offer something like that ever again if he wanted to keep living.
he watched as kevin laid down on their large bed, and su made sure he was carefully tucked in, even offering kevin’s dear cinnamoroll plushy to him which the other gladly took in his arms. the grey-haired man waited until kevin’s eyes fell closed, and then quietly went into their bathroom once more.
he picked up the air blow dryer and made quick work to dry his hair as efficiently as possible. it still took him quite a few minutes due to the length of his hair, but once he was finally finished, he sighed out gladly.
this took way longer than he liked. kevin was already asleep by the time he re-entered their bedroom, but su didn’t mind. “kevin… i am so enamored with you,” he whispered. and he really meant it. just watching his husband sleep while he was holding his sweet little puppy plushy while wearing his cute pajamas made su the happiest man on earth. truly, it was entirely adorable. no one else could be as cute and flawless at the same time as kevin while merely sleeping.
su laid down next to his husband, just staring at him for a while, before sleep also caught up to him slowly. he yawned quietly. “sleep well, angel…,” he said with a tired smile on his lips as he looked at kevin.
he wrapped his arms around kevin’s waist and pressed his nose into kevin’s nape, falling asleep while holding his love in his arms.
and while su didn’t have a particularly special dream, kevin already dreamt of the delicious homemade noodles by his husband that he would get to eat later this day.
