Lucifer and Saskia regularly sneak away to the mortal realm to go to the opera in theatres all over the world.
Luca lives for the music and usually "watches" with his eyes closed so that he can fully appreciate without any distractions. He's happy that mortals have finally realised just how highbrow and pretentious opera should be.
Sas, on the other hand, adores the entire package of the opera experience and has an especially soft spot for the terrible plots. The more absurd, over the top and ridiculous the better. She's annoyed by humans who get pretentious about opera and try to limit who gets to experience the joy of it with stupidly high ticket prices.
They both agree they don't miss the old days though, when the pit before the stage was crammed full of drunken young men who were only there to ogle the dancers. Good music deserves more respect than that. Sas thinks that even silly plots deserve the respect though Luca isn't so sure.
Sas' favourite opera is Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier and Luca likes nothing more than to take her to it.
This is because the trio at the end never fails to move her to tears. With their shared soulmark he moves through the music with her, feeling that moment of transcendence when the music moves her beyond any Mortal or Infernal experience and her human part of their shared soul touches for a moment the truly Celestial bliss that he has otherwise lost forever. The feeling he remembers well, that he had to sacrifice. The feeling that should have been her rightful heritage but was always denied.
