The whole way down the corridor to Satan's room, Belphie was sniggering. The twins had recently returned from a month long holiday in the Mortal Realm.
As usual they'd found a country with nice beaches. Beach holidays were always best for the twins. Beel could take the time to swim, surf, fish (and eat the fish!) while Belphie chilled in a hammock or under a beach umbrella somewhere.
They’d travelled along the coast, from one small coastal town to the next, and weekends had found them enjoying the local pubs.
Good food, good beer, good music and friendly locals - all in all an excellent time.
Belphie had had the good fortune to discover he not only enjoyed the local bands, but one of them had a song that was perfect for the Anti-Lucifer League.
This was why the first thing he did on returning home was go looking for Satan.
As Belphie showed the song to his brother, Satan’s blue-green eyes glowed with feral amusement. An aura of unholy glee surrounded the pair.
“Song dedication?” asked Satan.
“Tomorrow’s breakfast radio,” confirmed Belphie.
“For Lucifer,” they both said, shaking hands solemnly.
The next morning at breakfast they both waited with an air of suppressed mischief, bursting into barely stifled laughter as the DJ announced, “We’ve got a song dedication this morning for our very own First Lord of the Devildom, Lucifer! This one’s coming out to you sir, especially from two anonymous demons who describe themselves as your ‘biggest fans’. We’ve got an Australian band, The Angels, with a live recording of their hit song Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again?”
