Summary
Background: Katsuki and Izuku remained friends during their childhood and throughout middle school. Katsuki still did not believe in Izuku because he was afraid of his best friend getting hurt or dying without a quirk to help him in battles against villains. However, he didn’t have to be bullying Izuku to do that. Katsuki is still his rude self and Izuki still couldn’t tell anybody about his quirk being passed down from All-Might.
Summary: Katsuki believed Izuku hid his quirk from him their entire childhood until All-Might was forced to clarify any misunderstandings. During that time, Izuku stopped praising Kacchan since their relationship was strained, plus it seemed inappropriate. Now that things have been settled and they're working on friendship, Izuku slowly starts to praise Kacchan again.
This completely catches Katsuki off guard.
