The aquarium was lit up with dim, colourful lights. The fish swam around happily in their expansive tanks.
"Woah! It's so cool, HaHa~!" Sora marvelled at the sights. Spotting a tank with manta rays in it, she grabbed Hinata's hand and dragged him along. "Sora wants to look at these!" Hinata laughed.
"Sora-kun, I didn't know you were this strong!" She pressed her face up against the cool glass, gawking at the manta rays. They glided in the water gracefully, auras a bright peach colour. It was like watching shooting stars up close! Hinata put his arm lovingly around her.
"These are some of my favourite sea animals." He told her. "I love their silly flat faces on their belly~" One of the manta rays swam up to the glass, revealing that silly face he had been talking about. Sora giggled. It looked like a flattened teddy bear face!
"Sora loves their faces too! They're so weird they're cute!" Moving onto the next tank, she was met with many tropical fish and plants. Clownfish, angelfish, guppies, there were even more Sora couldn't name. Their auras blended into each other, different textures and colours clashing. She squinted, trying to see past the auras and at the fish. They were an array of elegant colours that both stood out and blended in with the surroundings. The clownfish darted in and out of the anemones like they were playing hide and seek with the other fish. How quirky! To think, every choice and moment in the universe had led up to these fishies existing! Life sure was beautiful.
The couple continued around the aquarium, hand in hand. Soon the aquarium became packed, full of people, just like the teeny fishes that swam around in schools. Their auras were larger than all the fish, with an array of textures and colours. They all blended into each other, like one evil paint palette. It was too much for Sora. Even with her eyes closed, the auras burned through. She couldn't get away! Her clothes felt too rough on her skin. The sounds were too loud–
"Sora-kun? You OK?" Hinata asked softly when Sora pulled her hand away from his to cover her ears. She shook her head.
"Sora doesn't like all the noise and feelings!" Understanding what she meant, Hinata gently guided her away and outside. The fresh air was a comforting feeling for her, and Sora thankfully recovered. She would've hated to hit the point of no return on their date!
Hinata rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, Sora-kun. I didn't think it would get busy that fast! Have I ruined our date?!" He fretted. She pulled him into a hug.
"Of course you haven't, silly~!" She reassured. "The important thing is that I'm with you! We can always come back later." Sora let go of Hinata, who stroked his chin thoughtfully.
"I still want to make it up for you though. Hmmm..." Suddenly, he snapped his fingers. "I've got an idea~ Wait here!" He ran back into the aquarium. Just what did her silly little Hina-chan have in mind?
The next time he appeared, he was holding the cutest orca plushie ever in his arms. Sora's eyes sparkled with joy.
"I know orcas are your favourite." He held out the plushie to her. Sora clutched the perfect thing close to her, looking into its large blue eyes.
"HaHa~ HuHu~ It has eyes just like Sora's~" She bounced about, spinning in circles. The fur was so soft! Leaning over to Hinata and kissing him on the forehead, she took hold of his hand.
"Come on, Sora-kun. Let's go get some ice cream."
And so they went and got ice cream, the plan completely different from before (not that it really mattered to Sora. They were going to go back to the aquarium later, so why not have some fun whilst waiting for it to die down?). They both got their favourites – Hinata with plain strawberry, and Sora with simple vanilla with strawberry and a chocolate flake. They picked out a nice spot on the pier to sit down. The vast expanse of the sea surrounded them, glittering.
Sora made an exaggerated "omph" sound as she bit into her ice cream. The stall that was selling the ice cream certainly had some high quality sauce. She had never tasted anything like it! It was as if liquid strawberries had been drizzled on top! Hinata kicked his legs as he hummed.
"It's been nice spending the day with you, Sora-kun." He smiled at her. "We should go on dates more often~" With being idols, having the time to do things like this was scarce. Every single second was as precious as diamonds – though, to Sora, Hinata was even more precious than those sparkly stones.
"What are you going to name the plushie?" He pointed at the orca nestled in Sora's arms. She pondered the question. Hmmm... What should this work of art be called? An idea sparked in her head.
"Sora the Second!" That was the perfect name! "It's because we both have the same eyes~" And thus the best being in the world (other than Hinata) was named. Today was an important day indeed!
Having finished their ice cream, the couple had fun on the pier. Challenging each other in the arcade was very fun, especially with the dance machine; Whoever lost would get smothered in kisses by the other (that way, nobody lost!). Time slept away, until the sun had started to fall into a warm, encompassing sunset.
The aquarium, being quieter than it had been before, was finally safe for Sora to navigate. They could take their time admiring all the fish. Finding a bench by a large tank filled with sharks, they sat down, having each other in a side hug.
The sharks lazily swam about, calm and happy. It looked like they all had big, goofy grins!
"They look so happy. Sora wonders why shows make them all scary." Hinata nodded in response, gazing at a Tiger Shark passing by.
"I think the sharks are very cute, with their sharp teeth. But of course, they're not as cute as you~" Sora felt the warmth of a blush, and patted her hands on her lap.
"Hina-chan! Sora...aah..." She mumbled, mind completely melted from the smooth flirting. Hinata leaned over and softly put his lips on hers, holding their kiss until she felt like she couldn't was going to suffocate. His aura was a beautiful hue of pink and red, the texture feathery.
"I love you too, Sora-kun."
