“Sirius, we are going to be late!’
“Remus, I really don’t understand why I have to go, I’m not good at this kind of stuff-”
“It is Rosh Hashanah Sirius, my parents are expecting you to be there.”
“I’ve never met them, Remus! I don’t want to screw up your High Holiday because I say something dumb!”
Remus stops fussing with his kippah and sighs affectionately.
“Sirius, you won’t mess it up. We’re not even going to services, it’s just dinner!”
Remus walks over to Sirius and fixes his collar. Sirius groans and buries his head in Remus’s chest.
“You know my mom is making your favorite…”
Sirius perks up.
“The honey cake?”
“But I guess if you don’t want to go we don’t have to, we can just stay here…”
Sirius, aware he is being messed with but willing to let it slide, sighs.
“Let’s go Remus, we don’t want to miss the shofar.”
Remus kisses him and chuckles.
“We don’t do that at home and you know that!”
