Chapter Text
Dazai was standing by the door to Mori's office, the bandaged brunette was picking at the bandages wrapped around his arms as the teen seemed to be deep in thought. 'Mori-San called us out here, thats pretty suspicious by itself huh?' He thought to himself as he tried thinking about what kind of mission Mori wanted to give him and a certain chibi this time. Dazai thought for a few seconds before shrugging. 'Guess we just have to wait for the slug and find out' he said out loud to himself.
A few minutes passed by before finally the red haired walked over to where Dazai was standing. 'Ahh, Chuuya! Still wearing that ugly hat i see?' Dazai said with fake enthusiasm in his voice which Chuuya quickly saw through, rolling his eyes at the comment. 'And i see you still look like you have a funeral to go to, shitty mackerel' Chuuya commented with a scoff as he made a hand gesture towards the black suit that Dazai seemed to wear 24/7. Dazai grinned as he spoke. 'Hm, and what if i told you i do have a funeral to go to after this?' He said. Chuuya scoffed. 'We both know you never bother to go to funerals, you asshole. Now lets go already' the short red-head said as he walked past Dazai and into Mori's office. Dazai smiled as he watched Chuuya walk into the office before following after him.
The two walked into the office, getting greeted with Mori sitting on his usual desk as he smiled at the two teens with a smile that honestly sent chills down Chuuya's spine. 'Dazai-Kun!, Chuuya-Kun!, How are you two today?' Mori asked with an amused smile as he kept a watchful eye over the teens. 'Just get to the point already, Mori-San' Dazai said, sounding bored as he leaned backwards in the chair he sat down on. There was silent in the room after Dazai said that as the brunette and Mori stared down at eachother. 'Why is there always some form of tension who those two are next to eachother?...' Chuuya thought to himself as he awkwardly watched the two stare at eachother.
The silent was finally cutted short with Mori letting out a heavy sigh. 'If you insist, Dazai-Kun' he hummed, the smile coming back on his face as he heard Dazai scoff. 'Well, the mission i wanna give you two is...' Mori stopped for probably dramatic effect purposes knowing him. 'I'm sending you two into a school for some time!' He said happily as he watched the teens try to process what he just told them.
'Huh!?!' Chuuya was the first one to break the silence with that shout, it took him a few seconds before realizing he yelled. 'A-Ah, sorry for yelling boss...' He awkwardly apologized with a slight bow while Mori just looked amused. 'No-No, its fine Chuuya-Kun. I'm guessing thats a pretty fitting reaction to news like that' Mori chuckled. 'Huhh?, a school?' Dazai suddenly spoke up from being quiet for the few seconds. 'But i'm too smart for a normal school for brats Mori-San!' Dazai huffed, his voice sounding childish as he crossed his arms. 'I much rather commit suicide, you know!' Dazai pouted.
Chuuya rolled his eyes. 'You rather commit suicide than do anything, shitty Dazai!' He said with a huff. 'Yeah, well that just proves my point' Dazai chuckled while Chuuya groaned in annoyance. 'Though...' Dazai started again. 'I do understand why an idiotic chibi like Chuuya needs to go to a school!' He said happily, sending a sly smirk over towards Chuuya's way. 'Why you-!!' Chuuya started, clenching his fist as he looked ready to attack the brunette at any moment now. 'Now, Now you two' Mori said, catching the two arguing teens attention. 'I'll explain to you both now if you'll be quiet, alright?' Mori hummed, the two immediately realized thats just him telling them to shut up which they did.
'Well, i think that you two need...to interact with more with kids your age! Plus, Chuuya does need to learn more basic stuff too' Mori explained shortly, smiling at the annoyed groan Chuuya made at the last part. 'Interact with other brats?, how boring!' Dazai said dramatically as he rested his head on the palm of his hand. Chuuya scoffed. 'Yeah, i bet the kids there wouldn't even want to talk with a creep like you Mackerel' Chuuya huffed with a roll of his eyes. 'Wrong, the kids probably wouldn't want to talk to you hatrack' Dazai fired back with a smirk. 'Well!-' Chuuya started but yet again got cut off by Mori.
'I'm glad to see that you two are as excited as this mission as i am!' Mori said with a chuckle and countined before the two could protest. 'I suggest you two rest for now. Hirotsu-San will be driving you two to school everyday from now on too' Mori hummed as he explained to the two. 'You'll be starting the school in 2 days so you have the time to get ready for it!' He said with a smile. 'I'll explains the fine details later, you two can go for now' he finished, now letting them talk.
The two stayed silent for a second before Chuuya's sighing was heard. 'Guess we have no choice than' he muttered in annoyance, putting his hands in his pockets as he walked out of the office, leaving Dazai and Mori there who stayed in even more silence for some time. 'Whats the catch, Mori-San?' Dazai finally spoke up, looking up at Mori with a blank expression on his face. Mori's smile only got wider as he looked obviously amused. 'I don't know what you're talking about, Dazai-Kun' he hummed with a gentle tone. Dazai stared at Mori for a few more seconds before sighing and walking off, looking to be deep in thoughts.
Mori watched as the door to the office closed after Dazai fully left. 'Ah, now its only up to those two to choose how to let things run from here' he hummed to himself with a satisfied expression on his face. 'I bet they'll have a good time there' Mori smiled to himself as he went back to the files on his desk.
