Work Text:
Alex’s heart was still racing. They couldn’t believe that the heroes had dared to touch Morgan.
Their partner had woken from their coma a few days ago and was on the mend, which meant only one thing: Alex could finally tease them.
“Alex, don’t save me, it’s a trap, they’re gonna kill you!”
Morgan was laid up in their bed at the Antarctic base, haloed by the light from their bedside table and looking every bit the Angel they were.
“It was a high stress situation okay, and I do not sound like that.”
Alex grinned before continuing, loving to needle their partner at every opportunity.
“They had guns.”
Morgan looked at Alex as if they were ridiculous for saying gun so casually.
“They had anti-tank rifles!”
Alex’s grin widened, glad to see that Morgan felt so well that they raised their voice. Truly, it was beautiful, seeing Morgan recover.
“You say that like there’s a difference.”
