Work Text:

Your eyes shot open and a wave of disgust filled you. Filthy. Dirty. Disgusting. Your fault. You curled in on yourself, trying to stop the onslaught of flashbacks you knew were coming. Why did he do that to you? Why? Your mind replayed the nightmare in your head over and over, tears began to fall from your eyes as you quietly sobbed into your soft blankets.

You heard a click from the daycare doors and fear washed over you. Who was that? Why are they here? What are they going to do? You looked around the room you were in, there was no escape for you. You were in Sun and Moon’s room. The only way in here was through their cable. A thought that should’ve comforted you but instead terrified you. There was no escape, you couldn’t get away. The emotional flashbacks hit you over and over, making you feel like it was all happening again and whoever just entered the daycare was going to hurt you like that again.

The click of the cable attaching to something. You held your breath.

The sound of the cable lifting someone up. You felt nauseous. This couldn’t be happening.

You shut your eyes tight and began to hyperventilate when you heard footsteps approaching you quickly, you didn’t even bother to hide the sounds of your crying and quickly devolved into hysterics. You pulled your blankets over your head, much like you did when you were a frightened child.

But the hurting never came. No unwanted touching, no manipulating your body into positions you didn’t want, no undressing. The blankets were pulled down only slightly to your collarbone and you felt a weight gently placed on top of you, covering your shivering body. It wasn’t cold, and you weren’t exactly sure when you started the shivering, but you held onto the additional blanket that you had been given tightly. Your eyes slowly opened and you were met with glowing red ones. Moon.

“Hello little star, rough night wasn’t it?” He gently asked and repositioned himself to sit down next to you.

Your crying had died down when you felt the blanket laid on you, but you burst into tears once more and jumped into his arms. He made sure that every point of contact was covered by a blanket, that way you weren’t REALLY touching him and he could comfort you without triggering you in such a vulnerable state.

“Shhh shhh it’s alright star, it’s alright. Did you have a nightmare?” He asked, gently rocking you back and forth.

You nodded your head and relaxed into him, letting his arms envelop you and keep you safe. It was a few minutes before you could form a sentence, and you began to explain the nightmare.

“It was about him…you know who I’m talking about. He had me on my hand and knees and he was…he was…” your grip tightened on Moon, trusting that he’d take the implication of what had happened in your nightmare. “I could feel it. I could feel it in my nightmare, I hate it so much. Why? Why does he still have to hurt me even when he’s not around anymore? I felt it all, every bit of it. I-“ your words were cut off by a gag. Thinking about it was disgusting to you, you felt violated all over again.

“Oh little starlight. I’m so sorry. He’s not here, he’ll never get you again. He’s far far far away from you I promise, and one day he’ll get exactly what he deserves. We’re here, you didn’t deserve a single thing that he did to you. I know you have flashbacks, is that why you were panicking or was it the nightmares?” Moon asked.

“Both.” Your voice was weak and you were clinging onto him. Cold. Moon was cold. Not human, not flesh, not like HIM. That wasn’t your only consolation however, his touch was gentle and loving. Every thought that was put into his touch was how to make you feel the best, how to make you the most comfortable. HIM however, there was nothing but lust and greed. HE didn’t care for what you were feeling, he wanted to take his own pleasure.

“Which ones starlight? What kind of flashbacks?”

“Emotional…and I could also smell him…” your voice was barely above a whisper.

Moon hummed in response and slowly moved as to not frighten you. Moon took the blankets around you and tightened them against you, making sure you felt secure. He started to play his music box inside his chest and began to emit a pleasant lavender scent usually meant to help children to sleep.

“I can’t help with what you felt in your nightmare unfortunately, but I can calm your emotional state and give you something better to smell than his probably unwashed self.”

You laughed lightly, you knew he was trying to make you feel better. Moon took your laughter as a sign to keep going.

“Honestly he’s so pathetic, no one wanted to *squeak* him so he had to take it in the most dishonorable way” you laughed as you heard Moon’s censor kick in. The cute little squeak never failed to cheer you up.

“I mean honestly, to throw away his humanity for some quick pleasure? What an absolute idiot. No wonder no one wanted him. It wasn’t your fault at all sweetheart, he was just an idiotic, disgusting, selfish, pathetic excuse for a human. You know, if you could even call him that anymore.” You smiled brightly at Moon. Was it mean? Kinda. But did he deserve it? Absolutely.

“Did my insults make you feel better starshine?” Moon gently held you to his chest and let you listen to his music box more.

You sighed.

“Yeah Moon-pie. They did.”
