A pair of ears twitching upon the shrine maiden’s head in light amusement - the same shade as the rest of her hair and a lovely compliment to the sakura that decorated the shrine - was her first response. The second was a curl of her lips and amusement that danced within her eyes, a light laugh tumbling from her throat that mimicked the tinkling sound of the kagura bells.
It was only then, after the prelude of her laughter and the like, that the shrine maiden spoke, coupling the words with an affirmative dip of her head. “It’s me.”

Listen it may be marked as incomplete, but the way that it ends in chapter 5, you can easily mistake it as a completed fanfic. So im not even mad that it's incomplete😭🙏 I'm satisfied (kinda)

EiMiko masterpiece, retelling of pre-cataclysm, features a very soft Ei and very smitten Miko. I love how affectionate they are with each other. The slowburn to their love confession was so sweet. Fic is unfinished but legendary. Ended with Ei living Miko behind to enter her plane of euthymia. The fic is still so romantic and emotional and amazing though! No regrets about reading it
