Nicky had left the campsite to find water, leaving Joe and Nile to set camp. They were almost done when a truck stopped and men with guns and riffles jumped out. Joe knew very well what kind of men they were even before the first blow hit him on the face. Joe had tried to shield Nile but in vain and they soon found themselves tied up and lying on the ground. The leader of the men then started to give the usual rant to his men about how the world would be a better place for them when they had killed Joe and Nile.
Joe in a calm voice: "Nile, do you wanna see how you can make a racist angry?"
Nile: "Yes please!"
The leader: "What the hell are you talking about?"
Joe: "I'm married to a white man and this morning I was so lucky that he wanted to suck my cock."
Nile: "Dude, too much information."
Joe: "Sorry, I was trying to show you how to make a racist angry."
The leader pointed his gun at Joe's nape.
Joe: "Before you shoot me, there are two things you need to know about my husband."
The leader: "And that is?"
Joe: "He is better with a gun than you ever will be, and you really don't want to make him angry by threatening anyone he loves. If you do, you'll end up dead."
Suddenly the leader dropped dead to the ground and two more shots could be heard followed by screams. It turned out that two of the men had been shot true their knees and were screaming in pain.
Nicky pointed his gun at the last man standing: "If I were you, I would take my friends and run. You can pick up your dead friend tomorrow. I give you two minutes or else you'll also miss a kneecap."
Nicky then looked at Joe.
Nicky: "Have you come free from the rope?
Joe: "Yes, Nile?"
Nile: "In a second."
Joe and Nicky looked at Nile, who was struggling with the rope.
Nicky: "Carry her."
Joe nodded as he picked up Nile and threw her over his shoulder, while Nicky picked up their stuff.
Nile: "This is so undignified."
The truck drove up in a hurry.
Nicky: "You have only yourself to blame for not listening to me. What have I been telling you for the last 84 years?"
Nile: "Besides sleeping with a weapon under my pillow? I need to know how to get loose from anything that can tie me up."
Nicky: "And it looks like we're starting all over again."
Nile: "You're fucking kidding me. Joe, tell me he is kidding me."
Joe: "I'm afraid he isn't. Once he forced me to wear a bell for 120 years until I had learned how to move around without making any noises."
Nicky: "I think, you could use some more practice too, Joe. While Nile works on getting loose, you can work on that."
Nile: "And I who thought Andy was a strict teacher."
Joe: "At least he isn't throwing a labrys after us."
Nile: "True, but can we watch the shooting stars first?"
Nicky: "Of course, after you have gotten loose from the ropes."
