“Arashi no let me do it-! I already made you do almost everything, please!!” Mika pleads, hand grabbing the blonds arm.
“Nope! I’m doing your makeup, you need to absolutely dazzle everyone and especially Shu~” Arashi looks back and winks, proceeding her quest in question.
“No seriously you don’t have to do this, don’t you need to get ready too?” Before Mika could even argue, she turned around as if a light shun on her and glitter was sprayed everywhere.
She dressed in her light baby blue dress that hugged her figure nicely. With beautiful pearl jewelry and cute white heels. Her makeup with thin and small but well defined eyeliner, and a light sparkle blue highlight.
“Don’t worry your best friend got in control, I got it!”
It’s not Mika could argue further, and thus let his friend take over handling his makeup. Though what is this for exactly?
Today was Mika’s day, it’s his quinceñera! His friends had helped plan and decorate his saloon for the big event. As far he knows, all the decorations, invitations and roles were all done and filled! He even got to wear this pretty dress Shu had made him, it was white with light blue and yellow accents and it matched his eyes perfectly.
He can’t wait for his dance with the chambelan, especially since it's with—
“Okay, your makeup is all done, let’s go to the saloon. I can’t have your beauty gone to waste on this perfect day.” Arashi proclaims, grabbing Mika’s wrist and walking them out of Mika’s house.
“Oh yeah, Arashi, did you already ask your plus one-to-be? Or did you actually bail…?” Mika narrows his eyes, the blond in question glancing at anything but her friend.
“No… I end up asking Adonis instead..” Arashi confesses, “you know everytime you avoid asking him out it only gets worse!” Mika sighs, “Maybe you can ask him during the quince for a dance?”
“Yea that’s what I hope I can do, but I don't want to distract him from his job!”
“His ‘job’ is just to check if the lights work before the party.” He retorts.
“I mustn’t distract him!” She retorts back, before changing the topic again. “And besides, look, we're here!” She motions in front of them, a building that connects to Ensemble Square. Turns out Eichi also has saloons open to rent, never expecting him to be interested in that business either but who knows.
As if on cue, Arashi grips on Mika’s wrist slightly and drags him inside of the saloon, music can be slightly heard from the outside. Upon entering the salon, rows of tables and rows with beautiful light blues and yellows decorations cover the white table-clothes. It was mesmerizing, and he couldn’t believe this was all done for him- his quince!
“C’mon let’s get everything ready before the guests come in.” Arashi says, dragging him to all the stops they needed to make. Check on Niki if the food is in good shape, make sure all the table centers are in place, and make sure if the music and performances for later in the night are all good-to-go.
Finding themselves at the dessert table, eyes the desserts but deciding against eat anything till the time comes.
“So are you excited? It’s your quince, I'd assume you’d be all over the place.” Arashi questions, eyeing her friend. “I am but then again, I guess it’s the dread of knowing I'm aging and getting older ya’ know?”
“Makes sense, but you're not alone. We’re best friends, we will always be there for eachother!” Wrapping her arms around Mika and giving him a tight hug, causing Mika to giggle, “Thanks Naru, I’m glad you're here.” Mika smiles, and Arashi gives one back.
“We’re here!’ A loud voice shouts, the two friends immediately look at the entrance. The bright ginger hair, and wide smile that could only belong to Leo. He was dressed in a buttoned shirt white shirt with blue and gold accepts, Light blue jeans with white cowboy boots,
“Ah! King you're here!” Arashi goes and greets him and Mika follows behind, “is everyone else here yet?” She questions, “Nope! But my plus-one is!” Leo cheerfully responds, pointing to the person behind him. Familiar brunette with spiky short hair, now a little more well kept with a cow-boy hat adorned on his head. His shirt is a nice dark red with dark blue jeans and dark brown boots and belt to match.
“Oh my god! Hi Morisawa, how have you been!” Arashi greets, hugging Chiaki who hugs back. “It’s been great, me and Leo were so excited we almost forgot to take the special boys gift!” Mika, who stood behind Arashi, looked down at Chiaki’s hand and saw the said gift in a light blue bag.
“Oh thank you so much, Mika go put this in where the gifts will be. I will show Leo and Chiaki where their seats are!” Arashi shoo’s Mika, who happily obliges and takes the gift and runs off to the gift corner.
Thus what ended up happening the rest of the night, Arashi and MIka greeted the guests, Mika went and put away the gifts where they went and Arashi showed them their seats. Before they knew the party was almost fully packed! All their school-mates and friends were here, well.. All except–
“Heyya!~” A cheery voice rings, they both yelp when suddenly being pulled in a tight hug. “Hi Hiyori! Please let go or my hair gets ruined” Arashi whines, the lime-haired lets go and giggles. “Sorry I was too excited, but I'm so excited for our first big-gig!” Hiyori cheers, “Especially since it's for our dear friend, MIka!”
“Wait what do you mean your fir–” Before Mika could finish his sentence, more echoing of arguing voices heard in the background and see the rest of Eden and his favorite person . Shu is dressed with a blue with gold accent shirt, a white suit with adorned flower designs. White pants that continued the design and nice dress shoes. ‘He looked amazing..’
HIs daydream ended quickly once Shu noticed him and began to walk up to him, “Hi.. I am glad that the dress looks.. Wonderful on you..” Shu compliments, glancing anywhere but Mika, too embarrassed to show him his red face. Though the compliment made Mika anything but more happier and squeezed the pink haired boy.
“Let go! Don’t want my work to get ruffled all together!” He shouts, “Sorry Oshi-san! I'm so so happy you think I look wonderful!~” Mika looks at him with a bright gaze, “Especially since you also look amazing! I can’t wait once we get to the dance it’s going to be so much fun!” Mika yaps on and on, Shu sighs and slightly smiles. He’s happy he thinks he looked amazing..
“Okay Mika go and show Shu his seat, I gotta help Eden set up their stuff.” Arashi says, giving MIka a wink. Mika blushes but nods in response and shows Shu his seat.
“So~ Oshi-san are you excited, we can finally put the dance practice to use!” Mika says, on their way to show him the table reserved for them. “I’m actually–” “He’s so nervous, he panicked before Eden picked him up!” A cheery voice interrupts them, looking down and seeing Mademoiselle in Shu’s grasp. With a carbon-copy of Mika’s dress but smaller and fit her perfectly.
“Ah! Mademoiselle I'm so glad you're also able to join! We even have a seat set up for you!” Mika cheers, “Don’t worry I have to join of coure! Though seriously Shu you need to be more honest! Today is Mika’s day!” The doll scolds Shu, “I am! Ergh…”
:”Don’t worry Oshi-san you’d do amazing, I know!” Mika says, giving a reassuring smile. Shu calms down and smiles back. “Thanks.”
“Don’t worry about it!”
Thus the night went on, first it was the ‘family’ dance. Which ended up being Arashi dance with Mika first, Eden begun to play the notes of “Tiempo De Vals”, Arashi really suggested it to be the song for their dance, so here they are dancing while it plays, Mika could almost feel himself crying out of joy, as if finally releasing the pent of emotions leading up to this.
Though he can’t cry yet! He needs to get through the chambelan dance, and he doesn’t wanna ruin his makeup either. So the dance went on, before he could realize Arashi had let go and went back outside the dance area and Shu entered. Walking up towards Mika and wrapping his hand on Mika’s waist, locking hands with the other. Giving a reassuring glance, Mika smiles and lets his head rest on Shu’s shoulder as “A Thousand Years” begins to play.
“I am still not used to dancing like this..” Shu whispers, as they continue to slow dance. “Don’t worry Oshi-san, you're doing amazing besides who else could I trust to do this dance with me?” Shu looks at him questionably, “What do you mean? Don’t you have several other people to choose from, I'm not exactly knowledgeable with this culture?”
“Yea’... Though there’s also another reason, a-actually..” Mika begins, stuttering. “I-I liked you for a while now, and you were my first choice for Chambelan because I.. I love you.” Shu sighs softly, MIka worryingly straightens and faces Shu. A hand placed on his cheek, and the pink-haired boy leans in and give him a kiss,
“I like you too,” The music quietly ends and a small silence fills the room. A loud cheer came from one of the reserved tables, and soon the room filled with excited cheers, “Oh-M-G! You finally did it, whoo! I'm so happy for you two!” Arashi rushes in and tightly hugs the newly-couple.
“I am so giving you the shovel talk later, but right now it's all about Mika.” Arashi blows a raspberry at Shu jokingly, who only eyerolls. “Arashi, you should totally confess to Yuzuru now then. Since I officially confessed to Oshi!”
“Oh heck nope! I tried asking him and he was so blunt and rejected me. I already cried about it but Adonis was there for me and my! He’s always so sweet!” Arashi swoons, ‘Yeah because you're his crush’ both Shu and Mika think. (In a far distance Adonis sneezed and wondered who was talking about him.)
“Well let’s get the party finally started!” Arashi cheers, on cue the speakers took over and blasted Cumbia music. Everyone and their families hogged the dance floor and danced. Mika was still feeling the rush of finally doing his first half of the dance, and confessing to Shu. This night couldn’t get so much better!
So the night passes on, Knights performed with Shu to do his surprise dance. The speakers blaring “One Thing”, it was honestly the most amazing performance MIka has seen and never expected from Shu. Then again he's a lil’ glad to see Shu try and attempt things for him, it makes him feel so giddy!
Dance after dancing, during one of the slow dance sessions it seemed like Adonis and Arashi were a little bit closer than ever. It honestly made Mika excited to bother and yap about it to Arashi.
It was almost half time till the party ended, so they started opening the dessert and snack table for everyone. Not before forgetting Chiaki grabbing a cake and smushing it against Mika’s face, with the most proudest “HA HA”, as he posed. Shu was absolutely mortified before MIka had to explain to him it was a normal tradition. The pink-haired boy is still mortified but only nods.
Just like that it had ended, who knows how fast the night passes when you're having fun? Even if there were some mild-hiccups through the night, Mika was honestly excited and happy. Able to spend the day with his friends, and
boyfriend
to celebrate his quince.
