This situation is by far the worst Finney has ever experienced.
Sure there are many things that vary what is the worst plus the different levels too, but if you were to ask Finney right now, then this would be worse than when he had gotten cornered and the whole school knew he got his ass kicked.
The situation is that underneath Finney is the 5'8, dark haired, baseball player. The books, papers and belongings of the two are scattered across the floor, mixed in with eachother. The brunette is all but straddling the other, the fall causing his once neat hair to now be tousled. Legs are tangled with the taller, arms planted on either side of Bruce's head as to not completely crush the guy. He and Finney have only really spoken once, otherwise it's only been small exchanges, such as small compliments or together for a small class project.
Bruce blinks away the initial shock clouding his eyes after falling. Coming to it after a good millisecond, he registers the weight on top of him. Also, he realizes, there's a pair of alarmed, owlish dark chocolate eyes staring straight into his.
The other students in the hall stop to look, and some pause to see what will happen after someone like Finn bumps into someone so more well known, popular even, like as Bruce Yamada. They just end up continuing on their merry way.
The two stare at eachother a moment longer; Finney's face grows unbearably hotter each passing second, and Bruce has a flush that's rapidly taking over his face, too. In a flash Finney has jumped away from Bruce's lap, the boys' legs no longer intertwined. "I'm so sorry- I wasn't paying attention and-" Finney begins on a apology ramble, picking up what may or may not be Bruce's possessions with a slight shake in his hand while Bruce sits up too. "I ended up crashing into you and I'm-"
"Finney Blake, right? It's no biggie." Bruce interjects, gathering up what he assumes must be Finney's on the white tile floor. HehasnoideawhyheconfirmedFinney'snameasifhedidn'talreadyknowit.
"..so sor- wait. For sure?" Finney unglues his eyes from the ground, looking up at Bruce enough so Bruce can actually see his still rosy face. "Yea dude! I don't mind, it's not all your fault anyway," Bruce gently replies. The impact from hitting his head stings, and a piece of his black hair hangs in his eyes.
After picking up what Bruce thought was all of Finney's, he hands the stack of supplies to him, "I should have paid more attention, too." He says, unaware of how smooth he sounded with his attractive, kind smile and what it did to Finney's heart. After giving each other back their belongings, the two stand, ready to part ways. "Thanks, Bruce," suddenly, the tardy bell sounds, the ringing bouncing off the walls. Finney's eyes widen, beginning to turn his heel to book it to his next class. "Later! And I'm still sorrybutthankyou-!"
The second the shorter of the two turns away, Bruce notices a piece of a once crumpled paper lying down. "Finney! Wait!" He shouts, however it does no luck as Finney is already long out of sight. Bending down to pick up the paper, Bruce doesn't have time to think about his better judgment before he flips the paper around. On the front of the paper is a drawing of two not-to-terribly drawn stickmen who appear to be kissing, if the hearts and "mwauh"s around the pair say anything, followed by some side comments who seem to be Finney and a friend.
"Cut it out."
"What man? It's true"
"No it's not. I don't like him"
"Chill. You're literally drooling on him from across the room. You should just talk to him, not like he'll ever take back 'Your arm is mint"
"Shut up, Robin, do you want to pass math or not?"
"Fine, sorry"
He's late for class by now, but Bruce can't seem to care when heat floods his face and he feels so happy. He hasn't gotten to know Finney before, but perhaps he'll try to really befriend him in their next class and the days to come. He seems like a cool enough guy, additionally he's cute, and he has one pretty mint arm.
