Chrissy and Eddie stood to the entrance of the mess hall, both looking through the windows in the doors. "Ok so today is the day!" Chrissy nodded, hands pressed to the door. "Yes, it is, Chrissy! You got this!" Eddie smacked his hand rather hard on her shoulder causing her to squeak and flinch. Chrissy leaned her nose against the window looking over at the cheerleader's table which was slowly clashing with the jock's due to Jason attempting to sit next to her every lunch time. You sat at the table excitedly talking about something. You held your pompoms and swayed them a little, bobbing your head. "I can't do this" Chrissy squeaked, pulling away from the window.
Eddie glared through the window and didn't even turn as he reached out and grabbed a hold of the nervous cheerleader's hood, pulling her back to the door. He moved his arm around her shoulders and forced her to look back at you. Chrissy's heart fluttered and she let out a soft sigh, looking at you with adoring blue eyes. "You got this, Chrissy! I am not going to risk getting my ass expelled for you to chicken out now" Eddie rubbed her shoulders. "Yes! Yes! I got this!" Chrissy narrowed her eyes and nodded. Then her face fell. "What if she doesn't like boobies?" she whispered, face frozen. Eddie turned his head, looking down at her.
"My gayder is never wrong, Chrissy, she loves boobies! And I've seen how she looks at yours! Even if she doesn't love all boobies! She will at least love your boobies!" The eccentric teen moved a hand and smacked it lightly on top of Chrissy's head, ruffling the perfect strawberry blonde hair. "Say boobies again" Chrissy replied, staring at you. "Boobies! Now..." Eddie's hands moved back to her shoulders and he leaned his head down by her ear. "Eddie" Chrissy's eyes widened. "Remember the deal!" she pressed her lips together. "Yes, I will tell him tonight!" he shoved her forward, sending her stumbling through the swinging door.
Chrissy squeaked but thankfully remained on her feet. She held her arms out retaining balance and let out a sigh as she quietly thanked herself from falling flat on her face. "Chrissy!" she froze as she heard her name called. She adjusted her hoodie and skirt and turned towards the table, silently cursing at herself for being unable to hold back a blush. "Hey!" she waved at you. She swear she could see flowers bouncing around your head like a floating crown as she stared at you. She glanced back to the doors. Eddie held his thumbs up as he grinned at her. She nodded at him and then turned walking over to the table.
Jason's stare made her skin crawl as she walked past him. "Chrissy? Hey I got a seat free..." he trailed off as Chrissy stepped past and held her arms out. You stood up and quickly stepped forward. Once again Chrissy had to use all the power within her to stop herself from meeting the floor as she felt her legs buckle from the contact. You smelt like vanilla. "Are you ok? You took a super long time in there!" you pulled back and took her hands in yours. Chrissy could've sworn her heart beat could be heard through her body as she stared into your eyes. "Y-Yeah, I'm ok! Just uh..." she stuttered, trying to think of an excuse.
Your eyes widened and you leaned to the side looking behind Chrissy. Chrissy raised a brow and turned just in time to see Eddie and Gareth yank Jason's chair from underneath him, sending the obsessive jock crashing to the floor. "Oh!" Chrissy clasped her hands over mouth in shock. "What the hell, you freaks?!" Jason roared and scrambled to his feet, turning just in time to see Gareth running and Eddie stepping back holding his middle fingers up with a grin on his face. Jason turned and Eddie's eyes widened as he also turned quickly running towards the exit. "Go time" Chrissy nodded to herself. You looked at her in confusion. "Huh?"
Chrissy grasped your hand in hers and tugged you away from the table. "Come with me a second!" she didn't even wait for you to accept or decline as she began to walk. Without any questions you just shrugged and followed her, trusting whatever it is she had planned to be safe. She was one of the sweetest girls you knew. Chrissy began to question how sweaty her hand felt and if you had noticed. You of course noticed and tilted your head. You stared at the swishing curly ponytail with worry. "Chrissy, is everything ok?" you asked. "Yes!" Chrissy answered quickly and picked up speed. "I just... need to tell you something in private, ok?!"
"O-Ok" you stuttered surprised by how abruptly loud and quick she was speaking. This must've been urgent. Maybe it had something to do with Jason? You noticed he had been creeping on her lately and she was looking rather uncomfortable whenever the basketball player had begun to speak. Chrissy nudged the exit door open a little wider. "Hopefully no one is under the bleachers" she mumbled to herself, looking over the field. She squinted as she saw a few boys running along the field. "Oh" she picked up her walking speed again. "Hardly anyone goes under the bleachers anymore! Because of Harrington they go make out at that funny looking rock now!" she was babbling nervously.
"Enemy to the right!" Dustin yelled, pointing towards a random freshman. The confused boy looked around confused then tensed up and turned running as Mike and Dustin began barrelling towards him without hesitation. Chrissy giggled to herself as she began jog a little. You stumbled, arm stretching out and began to jog after her. You looked over your shoulder as you heard the poor bystander scream. "What are they doing?" you questioned, giggling to yourself. "Following Eddie's orders most likely" she slowed down as she reached the bleachers. "Not the best place but uh... it's going to have to do for now" she nodded, walking underneath the bleachers.
"Eddie? Your best friend?" you asked, standing in front of her. "Chrissy, is everything ok?" you asked, looking the nervous cheerleader up and down. "Yes, I..." Chrissy turned, facing you then trailed off. Her mouth was open and she slowly closed it as her cheeks began to turn pink. Suddenly she was speechless as she stared at the way your hair shined due to the sun streaks breaking through the gaps in the bleachers. You looked like an angel in her eyes. "Chrissy? Chrissy" you waved your hand in front of her. "Chrissy, wake up!" you clapped your hands together easily breaking her from her little trance. "Right! Uh..."
Chrissy stared at you once again falling to silence. She licked her lips and looked down at her hands briefly then gripped the edge of her skirt, looking down at her sneakers as she trembled. "Ok, ok" she sucked in a breath and then lifted her head with narrowed eyes. You flinched tensing up wondering if she was about to hit you something from the sudden intense gaze. "I gotta uh..." she squeaked then closed her eyes tightly. "Ok, please don't hit me for this!" she spoke quickly. Before you could respond she moved forward and crashed her lips against yours. Your eyes widened and your hands swung up bracing for impact.
The nervous cheerleader's eyes were being held tightly closed but not tight enough to hold back the single tear. You blinked, brain processing the sudden kiss. Chrissy's lips were soft, slightly sticky due to the pink lip gloss. You felt her bottom lip tremble. Your eyes fluttered to a close and finally your hands dropped gently grabbing a hold of her clenched fists. Finally Chrissy relaxed and let her hands open to interlock your fingers together. She stepped forward, body close to yours and smiled against your lips. Finally you two broke the tender kiss and parted. You leaned your head against Chrissy's, smiling faintly. "He was telling the truth then..."
Chrissy stood up straight. "Who-" you pushed a finger against her lips and hushed her. "Eddie told me after I complained to him over the phone" you explained quickly. "Eddie... told you... wait, what were you complaining about?" she asked looking at you with concern. "I like you too, Chrissy" you replied, quietly. "Oh..." Chrissy stared with wide eyes. They fell into a squint as she grinned at you. You grinned and poked her chin. You moved your hands to her back and pulled her closer to you. Chrissy giggled, arms wrapping around you, one hand resting on your shoulder. She moved her hand to your cheek, lightly grazing her thumb underneath your eye.
The two of you closed the small gap between the two of you for another tender kiss. Chrissy moved her lips lightly against yours, hinting at the urge to deepen the sweet kiss. You gladly agreed, parting your own lips and let her take entrance. A very faint noise escaped Chrissy, like a surprised squeak. You giggled and pulled away. Chrissy's cheeks were red now, almost as red as rose. She stared with wide eyes then closed them giggling with you. "I've been so nervous and all giddy and I'm... I'm really happy you feel the same way" she moved her head on to your shoulder, nuzzling your neck. The butterflies in your stomach fluttered when she whispered your name.
Eddie and Gareth laid on the ground watching intently. "Finally, I won't have to listen to either them complain about their unrequited love" he whispered, nudging his shoulder against Gareth's. "Yeah, now you're just gonna hear about them being all romantic and shit" he replied in a low voice. "Also" he turned his head, looking at the Dungeon Master. "Don't you have to confess to Harrington now?" the grin on Eddie's face fell and he groaned, burying his head in his arms. "Shit! Shit! Shit!"
