Summary
Liyue used to be warm, but now the sun burns--the stares of the people burn. However, the one person who's gaze should burn the most is still warm, and Childe can't understand why. So he asks: Why did Zhongli lie to him? If the Geo Archon values his precious contracts so much, then why would he lie? Why would he break the implicit promise--contract-- between friends to not lie to each other? Does Zhongli truly care for him so little?
The emotional ramifications of attempting to destroy an entire city by reviving an old god to potentially kill a living god weight on Childe more than he realizes. The realization that he might’ve faced and tried to kill Zhongli hurts more. But in the end it's Zhongli's cock that nearly tears him apart.
