LON Reality

Summary:

LON ended up punished.

Notes:

Disclaimer - I don't own And you thought there is never a girl online?. This was written for the Froday little special for August where we were given five words and expected to use each word in a sentence, for which each of the words used is in bold. Also, this one-shot is a reflection on LON's three day ban being a slap on the wrist for what he did as well as a major joke for anyone who's gamed.

Work Text:

A three-day band held absolutely no  meaning  to an individual caught hacking other people’s accounts to steal items as well as someone facilitating multiple actual money trades in-game, so LON didn’t get one and instead took a more permanent action was taken against his virtual account—it was an account termination, so they would be keeping an eye out for whether or not he created a new account to get around the ban, not to mention they were likely implementing new anti-cheating features to the game.

Or not, LON thought to himself as he passed by a  motorist  on the street.

Legendary Age had a less than stellar reputation among the gaming community since its launch three years ago, gaining notoriety for having a super unconventional style of gameplay that was attractive to a newbie  virgin  to gaming; at the same time, the game mechanics could be problematic enough that real money trading could be very tempting to certain players. As such, someone who exploited games to make money in real life could stage a  rebellion  and test the game to see if there were any new security features in place, though it might just be easier for the time being to move on to another game.

But anyone who thought a three-day ban was appropriate  discipline  for what he did—that person very much had to be an idiot.
