She’d said that to him once during one of their deeper conversations, laughing slightly, and then shrugging her shoulders like she knew it must sound stupid to him. And maybe at the time it did, some hippie crap he didn’t believe in. How was he supposed to live without creating any more regrets? For a hunter, especially one like him who had to make world altering decisions every other day to save the people he loves, that would be impossible. But the more he’s thought about it, the more he thinks he might see where she was coming from.
