heaven knows i’m miserable now

Summary:

Most friends meet and get to know eachother in normal circumstances, but that didn’t happen with Steve and Eddie.

They met because Eddie got falsely accused of committing murder, when he was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.

OR; Steve and Eddie get to know eachother outside of school and the upside down adventures, and become more than friends.

Notes:

My first Steddie fic ! I got a lot of inspiration from canon and some other fics I absolutely love, so hopefully you guys love this one too :D

Chapter 1: To die by your side, is such a heavenly way to die

Summary:

Eddie really wants to speak to Steve, but just doesnt have the guts (haha)

Notes:

oOoh the first chapter which is the shortest one at the moment. See it as a kinda intro :]

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Ever since that happened, he’s been more paranoid than he already previously was. And he knew that wasn’t good. But he also knew he couldn’t do much about it.

But when Dustin found out that happened, he tried to find Eddie as soon as he could. He even asked for help from Steve and Robin, and they didn’t mind that. Eddie means the whole world to him, and Eddie knew that too. Even though Dustin was one of the most stubborn teens Eddie knows, he still loved the kid and appreciated him.

Funny enough, Steve knew that little fact too.

He has known Dustin for multiple years now, and they met unplanned. Almost every time Steve meets Dustin is because they are going to hang out, or he needed to get picked up from Hellfire. He never stopped talking about how cool Eddie is, which did convince Steve a bit. What Steve didn’t know was that Dustin also talks about him most of the time to Eddie. He tells him how Steve isn’t the douche he was when he still went to Hawkins High school.

Eddie doesn’t fully believe the kid because he hasn’t seen the ex-jock in literal years. He does know that he regularly picks up the teens from Hellfire, but he never had enough courage to speak to the guy.

He really tries and genuinely wants to see if Steve’s actually a different and sweeter guy now, but he doesn’t want to take the risk. To realize that yes, Dustin isn’t lying and he isn’t the prejudice he still has about him in his mind.

Notes:

The title of this fic is from ‘heaven knows i’m miserable now’ from the smiths and the title of this chapter is from ‘there’s a light that never goes out’ by the smiths.
