Aura

Summary:

When you're more than a little drunk and a good looking stranger crosses your path it makes sense some things can happen! It has absolutely nothing to do with your sexuality, nope.

Notes:

Based on how a friend met her boyfriend whoops.

Work Text:

Io had not wanted to listen to his friends, he had not wanted to let them drag him halfway across the city in the middle of the night to drink half his body weight in alcohol at a nightclub, but his latest fx transaction had lost him more money than any ever had before and En thought this would be the best way to make sure they wouldn’t find a bullet in his head the following morning.

So Io could do nothing to stop them and now there he was, hardily aware of the room's loud music and suffocating smoke anymore. He was never a fan of crowds, and he found himself avoiding them even in his inhibited state. Instead he leaned against the bar, closing his eyes to bask in the buzzing inside his head keeping all thoughts away. His only problem at the moment was Yumoto’s bizarre desire to see him dance, and honestly he was thankful for that.

It was because of this that the moment he felt someone’s hand on his arm pulling him to face towards them Io thought it would be the short blonde boy, or maybe even Atsushi telling him he had too much to drink already.

He did not expect to be faced by a pink haired boy with fiery brown eyes and a flashy smile.

“I don’t know you!” He called out animatedly, voice fighting against the volume of the music. There was such excitement in his eyes that Io couldn’t look away from them. He was holding tightly onto Io, standing close to him with not a hint hesitance.

Io blinked, slightly dazed at the sudden presence in his arms cause now he was holding him too and the other’s energy had spread to him like electricity.

“I don’t know you either!” He stated almost giddily. The pink haired boy seemed even more keen on him at this. Io tried to say his name, present himself somehow, but everything was too loud and the other seemed too distracted looking at him. The pink haired was taking every inch of him in with a drunken sense of awe and a completely unabashed and ogling expression that seemed to say ‘where did you come from’.

At some point they had moved closer, and their fingers had intertwined. Their eyes were glued to each others now and they were both smiling like idiots. In this drunken state (yes, it must be the alcohol) Io felt captivated by the person before him.

He tried asking for his name, but nothing seemed to get across. That was ok, though, because they both knew they were feeling this, whatever this was. Io’s mind couldn’t truly process anything, but he was leaning in and so was the other.

Then they were kissing, his arms around the guy’s waist and their arms around Io’s neck. Io might have been the one who started it, but the other kissed back so fast it was almost impossible to tell. It was no short time which they remained this way, and it was not short from true bliss.

This is the best moment of my life.

Then the other pulled away, whispering a breathless no, leaning his forehead against Io’s own. That small word seemed to have no meaning as their touches remained, eyes closed, basking in the other’s existence. Then the pink haired boy was gone, pulling away and walking clumsily to the other side. Io felt a shock a yearning go through him as he followed the other and almost effortlessly caught him back in his arms.

Somehow they were kissing again, maybe even more passionately than before. Soft hands cradled his face and Io pulled the other in deeper.

Then it all stopped with a sudden push, panicked brown eyes visible for a second before the boy dashed away. Startled, Io turned towards the direction he took and searched for him. He searched and searched, pushing through crowds and throwing desperate questions at the clearly inhibited bystanders. His heart was pounding in his chest and a terrible feeling of failure and loss filled him that even his previous fx transaction could not be compared to.

Notes:

This could have another chapter from Ryuu's point of view if yall are interested.
