She was a vision against the grey dawn. Her dark hair was in a loose braid that fell over her shoulder and her rich brown skin glowed in the early morning light. Her dark eyes shone and the smile on her lips conveyed so many things, Anthony assumed chief among them was pride and exhilaration. He felt a laugh bubble up in his chest, but held it back and bowed his head. When she rode off, it seemed as though something new had awoken in his heart.
