Work Text:

Sou Hiyori and Emiri Harai were two people that you would not see together often.
Harai had her own business that she'd spend her work time occupying herself with. Recently, she was gifted with the option to receive her own floor and create an appearance for the participants.
Hiyori also received this oppportunity and took it within a heartbeat.

Though the both of them were seperated by at least one floor. They both spent most of their time to themselves, though one fateful day Hiyori decided to approach Harai.

The two of them stood directly in front of each other within a girly styled room. It was similar to one of the rooms upon Hiyori's floor, yet this one had much less furniture.

"What do you want?" Harai asked, yet the tone didn't sound anything similar to a question. Hiyori picked up on the irritation in the voice, as though she really wished to be alone at the current time. It was as if she was aggrivated just by the marks that Hiyori's shoes would leave in the carpet.

"I'd like to make a request. As coworkers, we're supposed to work together, hmm?" Hiyori leaned in to Harai's space playfully, immediately leaving a terrible impression on her. As if mildly startled with Hiyori's closeness, Harai took a step back carefully.

"...What request?" Harai asked, slowly.

Hiyori smiled brightly, his face shown as bright as the sun. "Those dolls! Those rabbits, you made them yourself, right?"

Harai stared blankly, suprised by the sudden question. Shortly she regained her confidence. "...Yes... Do you perhaps...want one?" A sudden snarkiness fell into the last few words, as Harai smirked. It was as if enough time had passed for her to feel comfortable with showing her true colors around Hiyori.

Hiyori laughed in response, a lighthearted chuckle. "Ahaha, no... It's just your talent in sewing... I'm curious if you'd make something for me."

Harai took a short breath before responding. "And what would that be?"

Hiyori smirked at Harai, somehow the malice glinted in his eyes in that perfect way that sheilded his pupils. It made them appear dangerously white, as though he was blind. "...A doll, a very small doll of one of the participants. You don't have to make the entire thing. Just the head's fine."

The both of them stood in silence, as Harai made her decision.

Less than a week later, Sou Hiyori found himself in possession of a pin cushion of Shin Tsukimi. It was indeed crafted by Harai, but his... servant, Maple, handed it to him before he found it himself.

It came in a small white box with a set of white pins. Within the first five minutes the small item's hat was stuffed with them.

Hiyori wanted to show it to Shin, tell him to look and hold it. He could imagine Shin's innocent laughter and him asking if he made it himself. And the response would cause Shin's face to twist into one of horror knowing Hiyori gave reference images of him to someone he didn't know.

Hiyori wanted to show it to Shin, tell him to put pins in his face. He could imagine Shin's concerned stare as he glances between Hiyori and the plush, shakingly holding a singular pin. Would he do it? Would he give it to Hiyori? So many different scenarios could lead from the simple action. Imagine a possibility where Shin accidentally stabs Hiyori while handing the pin to him.

Hiyori couldn't do it though, shamefully. Not after he was declared as deceased, and prevented from seeing Shin once more. No matter how badly he wanted it, Shin probably would never be able to see himself as small and soft.

Yet in fiction, there were instances similar to the one Hiyori was currently within at the moment. It would usually be when someone would obtain a doll of another character, which they could tear apart and destroy while physically hurting the other character.

if it were like that, then Hiyori would definitely have a blast piercing pins into Shin's face. Yet it... probably didn't work that way. Asunaro's technology was advanced, yet the thought of doing such a thing probably didn't even cross Harai's mind.

But still...! The desire to present the object to Shin was strong, even though it was impossible. Hiyori guessed that it was some sort of form of longing for Shin... how human... as if he wanted to be like that anymore.

Though maybe... it wasn't impossible...? There was nothing to really do all day, so Hiyori naturally spent most of his time perfecting the code and running simulations of the upcoming death game. He'd already crafted AIs to fit into the slots of the characters on the screen, and there was an empty computer near him...

An idea fell to Hiyori's mind as he stared at the soft object on the desk, hat still loaded with pins. There might not be a way to force Shin to demolish a doll of himself, but there is a way to make him helplessly watch it happen right before his eyes.

And yet, already it felt unsatisfying just to stab the face with pins. Hiyori knew there were alternatives, such as scissors and knives... there were so much options available for destroying it.

Hiyori stood upward, chest filled with sudden excitement, as he left to prepare the necessary items for an event fit for Shin's munsell blue eyes.
