Work Text:
sasara sighed loudly. “today really was a tough day,” he muttered to himself as he took off his shoes in front of his apartment, a cigarette butt in his hand. he took out his keys and opened the door, going inside.
he put the used-up cigarette into the ashtray and then went to the kitchen to see a plate of food placed on the dining table. when he got closer he noticed there laid a handwritten note next to it. sasara picked it up to read it and began to grin shortly after.
‘hello, darling. i prepared some extra food for you, but i was too tired to stay up to eat together with you. when you’re reading this, i am probably already asleep by then.
sorry for that.
i love you, and i hope you‘ll enjoy your dinner. i feel lonely and want to cuddle, so hurry up and come join me in bed soon.
— rosho’
“this moron…”
sasara snickered quietly. his gaze moved to the bedroom door for a bit, but decided he didn’t want to go against rosho’s wishes to eat dinner and freshen up before going to bed. he took the plate and put it into the microwave to reheat the food quickly, and then scarfed the food down within minutes, as he’d been pretty hungry, and because rosho‘s cooking always tasted so delicious.
“it’s as if he puts magic in that stuff,” he swooned. he almost felt like wanting seconds, but rosho was already asleep and there were none left. oh well, he couldn’t sleep well with an overfilled tummy anyway.
he put the plate into their dishwasher, and then went into the bathroom to brush his teeth and take a shower. after around ten minutes he was done, and he made sure to dry himself properly before wrapping the towel around his waist. he took a quick detour to the kitchen once more to get a small bottle of water to drink, and then finally entered their shared bedroom. the lamp was still dimly lit, rosho must’ve fallen asleep with the lights still on. how cute.
his gaze immediately landed on the bed, where none other than his beloved had been nestled comfortably underneath the sheets. it was currently only the early fall season, and yet his boyfriend had already been sleeping with at least two blankets. rosho had always been the type to get cold easily. sasara was the complete opposite. his body always radiated body warmth, which is why he was often called the “human-sized teddy bear.” he used to dislike being called that, but he’s since grown accustomed to it.
hell, he even appreciates it now, as rosho is always so fond of cuddling with him. (and he could never say no to his boyfriend’s wishes.) sasara started to feel the breeze as well, however, so he quickly got dressed in a warm pajama that rosho had bought for him. it seemed to be rosho’s favorite pastime activity to buy pajamas, as they probably owned at least twenty different pairs.
he remembered how rosho scolded the hell out of him back when he had found out that sasara always slept wearing only boxers and a shirt if it wasn’t too hot for one. sasara chuckled silently at the reminiscence, and moved next to their bed which was large enough to fit both of them. he made sure to lift up the blankets carefully enough to not wake his sleeping lover, and laid down next to him, immediately feeling at ease.
he took in a deep breath and rested his eyes for a couple of minutes, before he turned around to the sleeping form of his boyfriend. rosho must’ve noticed that he joined him, as he had turned around to face sasara now. “you cuddle bug…,” sasara whispered, endearingly so. he lowered his gaze slightly, and was met by the sight of one of rosho’s stuffed animals held in rosho‘s embrace.
ah.
sasara felt a small pang inside his heart. he knew about rosho’s habit of sleeping with a stuffed animal, because it helped calm down his anxiety and insomnia on certain days. the purplenette used to always sleep with one when they hadn’t lived together back when they first started dating, but slowly started doing it less when they began sharing a bed. however, sasara noticed that whenever rosho was lonely, he was always holding onto one. he felt bad for staying late at work so often, his boyfriend must’ve felt so lonely and anxious without him.
“oh, rosho… i really don’t deserve you…”
as if on cue, the purplenette moved a bit closer so that their noses were brushing against one another. sasara grinned softly as he began taking in his beloved’s facial features like he often did when he had trouble falling asleep quickly.
rosho‘s face features were smooth, and while he didn‘t have any kind of chubby cheeks, his skin was incredibly soft, ridden of any kind of blemish, as if he was a beautiful porcelain doll. sasara always appreciated rosho‘s almost-perfect face, he was too good-looking for his own good. he was sure that many teachers in school were having a crush on rosho. the number would be endless if his scary glare didn‘t scare people away so often.
however, sasara found himself realizing more and more how rosho‘s gaze was incredibly serene whenever he rested, not a single fold visible from frowning. he listened to rosho‘s soft snoring, it was sweet like a purring cat. sasara lifted his hand to brush back rosho‘s bangs, his hair soft and fluffy from being freshly washed. he wished he could take a whiff of rosho‘s sweet shampoo he always used, the one sasara quickly became addicted to.
long eyelashes were fluttering against rosho‘s skin, luscious and thick. they were so beautiful that even girls would be jealous. sasara always caught on to how his gaze lingered there for longer than his own good. but the soft purple was just so addicting to look at, they framed his face so perfectly.
“rosho…,” he whispered inaudibly. a sliver of moonlight suddenly shone through their window, directly highlighting rosho’s beautiful face. he looked so ethereal like this, laying next to sasara on their bed. sasara gently moved his hand to touch rosho’s soft cheek, his caress as gentle as it could ever be with anyone.
rosho unconsciously leaned into the touch, causing his smile to widen. “you really aren’t aware of just what you’re doing to me, huh..”
sasara felt himself becoming sleepy, his eyes inevitably falling close. before he fully drifted into a lull, he had wrapped his arms around rosho‘s form in a gentle embrace, their foreheads touching.
“i love you,” he whispered, before he finally drifted off into a state of tranquility.
