Chapter Text
As the sun shinned brightly the gem shinned brighter, her smile warming the coldest of hearts. Her voice was annoying to some but to Flower, it felt like home. Flower found herself spending most of her time with Ruby. From playing with jawbreaker pieces, to helping her realize her true beauty, Flower felt safe around her. Ruby even sang her a song! A really weird song…but a song nevertheless! it seemed clear that Ruby enjoyed hanging out with her.
One day while sitting together Ruby asked Flower a question.
"Hey Flower?"
"Yes ruby?"
"Do you think I could, touch your petals?"
"HUH?"
Flower was surprised not expecting Ruby to ask such a question. But Flower agreed and Ruby felt taken aback by how soft they were.
Flower's face turned a light shade of pink as she felt ruby's hands gently touch her face, they were soft and warm, or maybe that was just her face heating up. Flower was about as red as ruby by the time she was done, and Flower was not good at hiding it.
"Wow flower! They're so soft and pretty!"
"T-thanks ruby"
Flower found it hard to speak, Ruby was so close to her. She could feel her breath on her face. Ruby's hands slowly drifted off of Flower's face and flower couldn't help but wish it lasted a bit longer.
"I'll see you later Flower!"
Before leaving Ruby left a kiss on Flower's forehead leaving a very flustered and confused flower to question what just happened.
"WHUH BUH HUH??"
After a long moment of confusion and replaying the moment in her head, Flower realized that she viewed Ruby as a lot more than just a friend.
