Years Pre-DSLCH1:
Over a course of many years, Maria Calavera receives medical treatment for her eyes at Pietro’s pharmacy. During her visits to Mantle, she meets a young Robyn Hill and becomes a mentor to her. Because of Robyn, Maria decides to stay in Mantle.
Fria and Pietro are good friends, and Pietro shows Penny (as an early prototype) to Fria.
Penny wakes up for the first time and meets Pietro.
During the 7~8(ish) Months Pre-DSLCH1:
The Fall of Beacon
Ruby is kidnapped by Ironwood, and brought to Atlas by Elm and Vine.
Taiyang searches for Ruby in the aftermath of the Fall, and learns she’s been reported dead. He, Yang, and Qrow return home to Patch.
Ruby wakes up in Atlas for the first time. She watches cheesy movies that remind her of Yang with Elm and Vine.
Ironwood personally transports Crescent Rose back to Patch, and offers Qrow his condolences for Ruby’s ‘death’.
Ironwood has Ruby brought to his office, explains to her why he had her brought to his kingdom, and that he faked her death.
Ruby has a dinner with Ironwood, where he tells her he’s going to take her to meet Watts and her ‘training’ will officially begin.
Project Silver starts.
With Pietro, Penny visits Atlas’s Beacon Memorial, dedicated to those who were killed at the Fall, and mourns Ruby.
Weiss enrolls in Atlas Academy, and is made leader of Team WITE. She’s partnered with Ilia Amitola. Weiss struggles to connect with her new team, accidentally learns Ilia is a Faunus, and then starts to gain Ilia’s trust after going with her to stop a Grimm attack in Mantle.
After some time at home, Yang leaves Patch to find Blake and Weiss, Qrow goes with her.
Blake, with Sun, travels home to Menagerie. While there, they stop a plot by the Albain brothers to kidnap Blake to return her to Adam and learn of the White Fang’s plan to attack Haven Academy
Blake and Sun leave to warn Haven Academy ahead of the new Faunus Militia being organized by the Belladonna family. During their travels, they meet Oscar, who reveals himself as Ozpin’s reincarnation and joins their journey to Haven Academy.
Taiyang goes to Summer and Ruby’s graves for the last time, meets JNR there, and departs with them to go to Haven (bc that’s where Cinder & co came from, and thus their only lead).
DSLCH1:
Experiment 201:
Ruby activates her silver eyes for the first time while in Atlesian captivity.
Penny is brought in for the experiment, and finds out Ruby is actually alive.
During the Roughly 1~2 Weeks Post-DSLCH1:
Penny sits with Ruby after Experiment 201, and has a conversation with Watts.
Watts contemplates silver eyes, sees Ironwood is visiting Ruby, and goes to intervene. The three of them play Remnant: The Game.
Ruby refuses to participate in the immediate next experiment, is punished by Watts, and later comforted by Penny.
Weiss and Ilia leave Atlas Academy, to go after the people behind the Fall of Beacon.
Penny goes to talk to Ironwood about her concerns for Ruby after the way the past two experiments went. He tells her about Salem and the relics, and shows her Atlas’s Vault, to gain her trust. Penny asks if she can stay with Ruby from then on out.
Yang and Qrow arrive at the Branwen Tribe, because if anyone has intel on where Blake could have gone if she went to Anima, it’s Raven. While they’re there, Tyrian attacks looking for the Spring Maiden. In the ensuing fight, he kills Vernal and she passes the powers onto Yang. Raven saves Yang by pushing her through a portal that takes her to Tai.
Yang reunites with Tai+JNR in Mistral.
Watts inspects Floating Array. Salem contacts him with an update about the Spring Maiden hunt, and tells him she’s sending Tyrian to him for a new tail.
Watts thinks of the aura transfer machine experiment to propose to Ironwood.
While traveling over Lake Matsu, the ship Blake, Sun, and Oscar are traveling on is attacked by lancers.
Weiss and Ilia, on a passing cargo ship, come to their aid.
Blake & Weiss Reunion
Checkmate Group is caught up on Salem and her plans.
On the flight to Mistral, the group sees the smoke from the destroyed Branwen camp, where they find Qrow, who has a warning for Professor Lionheart of the upcoming attack.
Upon arrival at Mistral, everyone but Sun is captured.
One night soon after her reunion with Tai+JNR, Yang goes after an illusory Ruby created by Emerald. Neo prevents Yang from springing CEM’s trap and does so herself.
Yang is found by Sun who fills her in on Checkmate Group capture and his and Blake’s original mission of warning Haven Academy. They return to lodge where Tai+JNR is, receive the ransom, and begin to plan the rescue.
Yang gets the idea to involve Neo in their plans.
Aura Machine Experiment:
Ruby and Penny’s auras are connected as a result of the experiment. They realize they have a telepathic link. Penny promises that she’ll get Ruby out of Atlesian custody.
An unintended result of the experiment, Copper comes into being.
End of 2nd Week Post-DSLCH1
Escape from Atlas
Penny steals Winter’s scroll, thinking info on it will be able to lead her to Ruby, but she finds Fria instead. She talks to Fria, Fria transfers the maiden powers to her, and then dies.
Because of their new connection, Penny is able to share the powers with Ruby.
Ironwood considers his next steps, since the last couple experiments haven’t gone well. He witnesses the beginning of Ruby’s escape.
Ruby, with aid from Penny, escapes Atlas.
May Marigold witnesses Ruby and Penny’s fall from Atlas to Mantle and goes to see what happened. When she finds them, she helps the girls disappear into the night and takes them to Maria’s, where they’ll be safe.
Penny decides to put her trust in May and Maria.
Pietro sends codes to Penny that will help her stay hidden from the military, and worries about his daughter’s safety.
Ironwood initiates the hunt for Ruby and Penny. He orders Clover to offer Robyn Hill the Mantle seat in exchange for their return. A subordinate reports to him that there’s ‘situation’ In Dismantled Tech Storage.
Copper gains true consciousness for the first time. She meets Ironwood, who tells her she can refer to him as her father.
Battle of Haven
Cinder melts Ruby’s insignia in front of Blake, Weiss, & co. Then, Neo!Yang makes her entrance. Cinder notes that she doesn’t speak, but doesn’t think anything of it. They go down into the Vault.
Blake starts trying to get out of her bonds. Hazel moves to stop her.
Tai+JNR make their grand entrance (to distract their opposition and communicate exact placement of hostages in the entrance hall to their reinforcements outside).
Yang works with Mistral Police and the Faunus Militia to stop the White Fang’s attack.
Qrow makes his escape. He goes to find his and the kids’ weapons.
Neo reveals herself to Cinder.
Neo vs. Cinder Vault Fight.
Yang communicates to Jaune that things are going well outside. She makes her entrance into the main confrontation and reveals herself as the Spring Maiden.
Qrow returns Checkmate Group’s weapons to them.
Cinder comes out of the Vault and attacks Yang. Brief maiden fight. Oz/Oscar use magic to intervene. Emerald creates an illusion of Salem to cover CEM+Hazel escape.
Yang wakes up after the fight to find Oz/Oscar by her bedside. He gives her Ruby’s insignia.
Yang, Blake, & Weiss Reunion.
Yang reveals to Blake and Weiss that she’s taking the lamp to Atlas. They agree to go with her.
During Week 3 Post-DSLCH1 (Week 1 Post Escape)
While in hiding at Maria’s house, Ruby struggles to start her recovery. She wakes up thinking she’s back in the facility with Watts, can’t sleep, and doesn’t engage when Penny shows her old clothes Maria has found for her.
Ruby has her first strange dream where she visits her ‘grandmother’s’ house in the woods.
While sneaking out to get ingredients for a soup she’s making Ruby, Penny gets caught up in a protest happening in Mantle opposing the rigid restrictions Ironwood has placed on the city following her and Ruby’s escape. She protects the people there from the Atlesian Knights.
Copper’s Irrelevant Memory File 013.00: she activates her aura for the first time and names herself after its copper color.
Copper’s corrupted Irrelevant Memory File that she can’t remember.
During the Weeks 4~5 Post-DSLCH1 (Weeks 2~3 Post Escape)
Weiss and Ilia have a talk over Crescent Rose the night before the Argus Limited leaves.
Copper’s Irrelevant Memory File 056.00: Ironwood has Pietro examine Copper to see if he can fix her. They discuss Copper needing an aura transfer to stabilize hers.
Copper’s Irrelevant Memory File 057.00: Copper asks Ironwood about her future (and being ‘Ruby’). Ironwood affirms that he intends to do everything in his power to ensure that she will have one.
Penny frees an older man and other people who’ve been wrongfully arrested by Atlas from the Knights escorting them to prison. She’s officially taken on the vigilante persona known as the Green Ghost.
Copper watches the aurora borealis through Atlesian security cameras before a download and update session with Pietro and Ironwood. After the session, she finds the Secret Drive her past self made and starts going through her Irrelevant Memories.
Copper uses Mantle security cameras to look for Ruby and Penny, and finds Penny. Then, Penny destroys the security camera she’s in with lightning.
Ruby waits for Penny to come back after one of her vigilante outings. When Penny does, Ruby helps her with small repairs. Then, they play with small earthen figures using the maiden powers.
One of Ruby’s strange dreams is interrupted by May waking her to go hide in the basement while the house is searched.
Penny causes a disruption on the other side of town to draw Clover away from the house.
Ruby eavesdrops on May and Maria talking about Penny’s actions, and has a panic attack.
During one of Ruby’s dreams, her grandmother plants doubt of Penny in her mind.
May and Maria have Ruby do chores around the house in an attempt to distract her from the fact that Penny hasn’t come back after causing her disruption. During this time, Ruby considers leaving the house on her own. May tries to bond with her through hair braiding.
When Penny does come back, Ruby rejects her.
