Without the wig

Summary:

Nazuna wants to show off her new Supergirl outfit and massage course to Kou. He semi-reluctantly agrees.

Notes:

Listen, this is pretty self-serving, I know, I'm sorry, I need to get it out of my system.

Does Nazuna fly? Does she jump? Has Kotoyama ever really kept everything in this series consistent? Don't worry about it.

Work Text:

The sky was clear tonight.

It was often clear, Kou thought, but tonight the stars seemed to shine brighter than ever. The constellation Orion was really clear and the stars on its belt sparkled like rhine-

BZZZZZZZ

Flipping up the transceiver watch that interrupted him, he shook out his previous thoughts and smiled, preparing to speak before being interrupted again.

“Oi, are you gonna look at the stars all night or are we gonna have some ~fun~? Over.” Nazuna teased. Kou was a little surprised as a shadow moved on a roof above him before falling towards the ground.

Nazuna landed softly in front of Kou, with two feet and one hand used to cushion her fall while her coat flowed out behind her.

Kou snorted a little laugh.

“Hey, who are you laughing at?! This is the cool superhero landing pose! I saw it on TV!” Nazuna rose quickly and buttoned up her coat.

“More like cringe pose…” Kou mumbled, rolling his eyes. When they came back around to Nazuna she was standing in his face with a look that should probably have killed him, instantly. Instead it made him jump.

“What was that?” Nazuna growled as she grabbed Kou and drew herself closer. Ah Kou thought with a moment of clarity Nazuna-chan may actually kill me.

The side of Nazuna’s mouth twitched up and moments later she was howling with laughter.

“You should have seen the look on your face! Classic!” Nazuna smiled a toothy grin and gave him a peck on the cheek. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist it.”

“That’s not very superhero like of you!” Kou began walking ahead, hoping his heartbeat would slow down just the tiniest bit.

—------------------------------------------------

“Well I’m kinda like a superhero, dontcha think?” Nazuna cracked open her can of beer. They’d stopped at a park and sat idly on the swings. Kou gave her a casual glance as she took a big swig.

“Oh… do you go about saving people while riding a bike when I’m not around?” Kou asked. Nazuna stared at him for a moment, as if confused.

“What? No. I mean like, I can sorta fly and move faster than a human can see. Plus I can do this.” Nazuna placed a hand firmly under the swing seat Kou was on and casually lifted him up over her head while he let out a little shriek, hanging on tight to the chains.

“See, superhero!” Nazuna took another swig of her beer and then let go, paying no mind as Kou abruptly dropped down.

“What’s all this about superheroes all of a sudden?” Kou asked, wincing as he got off the swing. Nazuna had apparently got bored and decided to wander towards the exit of the park.

“Well one of my clients asked if I had a Supergirl cosplay last night so I’ve been doing research for when they come back.” Nazuna chucked her can in the recycling. “I even got a costume from a cosplay shop.”

“A… a cosplay? Of what?” Kou tried to ask casually. He failed.

“Oh?” Nazuna turned with a new gleam in their eye. “I thought it was cringe? Is Kou turned on by the thought of me as a superhero? Do you want to be saved by a cute heroine, protecting you with her sexy body fu fu fu?”

“It’s… it’s a perfectly normal thing!” Kou turned away blushing. He couldn’t get the image out of his head though. Nazuna didn’t usually wear much but whenever she wore something different it seemed to flare up emotions he didn’t always know he had.

Kou suddenly felt a firm grip on his arm, and he was yanked in a new direction. “Let’s head to my place.” A smirk adorned Nazuna’s face. “You can be my guinea pig.”

—------------------------------------------------

Kou had been kneeling on the floor for what seemed like several hours, despite the stars still shining outside the window and his transceiver watch showing him it had only been about ten minutes. He felt anxious and his thoughts were racing.

What was Nazuna going to be wearing? What was the research she had done? Guinea pig? What was Nazuna going to be wearing? Wait was that pile of superhero movies her research? What was Nazuna going to be wearing?

Kou slapped both his cheeks. He had to calm down. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath - only to nearly choke on it when he heard Nazuna’s voice from the otherside of the door.

“Yo, can you cry out for help so I can come save ya?” her voice was slightly muffled behind the closed door.

“Uh… what?” This was perhaps a step too far for Kou, and he begun to feel the cringe creeping up on him.

“Just yell help or something!” Nazuna sounded irritated. “If you don’t I’ll go chang-”

“Ah. Help. Help me. I am in uh... peril?” Kou was quick to interrupt her. His horny curiosity overrode the cringe. He was free. Nevertheless, acting in this way was not his strong suit.

The door crashed open. “Never fear, SUUU-pergirl is here!” Nazuna was standing in the doorway wearing a blue, long-sleeved spandex crop top with the familiar S logo on the chest and her abs peeking out below it. A short blue skirt was held up by a yellow belt and she was wearing knee high, glossy red boots. Draping down her back was a short red cape, and she had one hand resting on her hip while the other held the door open.

Kou’s brain briefly ground to a halt. He had pictured Nazuna in an outfit like this but seeing it in the flesh was another thing entirely.

“Wow.” The word seemed to stumble out of Kou’s mouth. He immediately regretted it, expecting more teasing from Nazuna, however she was too busy showing off her costume.

“Sorry it took so long, I couldn’t find my wig. Doesn’t it look good though?” Nazuna seemed very proud of her cosplay. It was cute to see her enjoying it, Kou thought.

“Actually, I like it without the wig. It’s like… you’re Super Nazuna!” Kou offered.

“Hmm well if that’s the case…” Nazuna struck a pose. “Trans… form!” She reached up and undid her hair braids in one smooth motion, letting her hair fall down her back. “Now nobody will recognise me!”

Kou’s heartbeat grew faster again.

Nazuna put both her hands on her hips and theatrically looked around the room. “Looks like I came just in time, the danger is gone!” Nazuna motioned for Kou to get up. “Now let me take you somewhere safe, citizen!”

Nazuna picked Kou up, like she had many times before. Being carried down her hallway while wearing that costume was quite different though. She really was very strong. He realised he’d been staring at her arms holding him for a few seconds and quickly looked up at Nazuna’s face to see her grinning.

Nazuna placed Kou down on her futon and then knelt beside him. She stared intensely while sweeping her eyes over his body and then begun to gently squeeze along his arm. “Hmm, no cuts that I can see and I don’t think you have any broken bones,” Nazuna explained as she felt his other limbs. Despite the small cocktail of feelings Kou had experienced this evening so far, Nazuna checking him over was actually quite relaxing.

“I want you to follow my finger.” Nazuna moved one outstretched finger side-to-side steadily, which Kou dutifully followed - although he had to force himself not to focus on her face being framed by unbraided hair every time her finger passed over it. “Now can you tell me the date?” she asked as she put her finger down. Kou hesitated a moment before responding with what he was pretty sure today’s date. It seemed to please her. “Good, looks like you don’t have a concussion.”

Apparently satisfied with her tests, Nazuna straightened her back, thrust out her chest, and put her hands back on her hips. “Well it seems you don’t have injuries, but I will stay and help you fall asleep!” she declared. She stayed there for a moment while Kou looked up at her, unsure what he had to do next in this little show. A tiny drop of sweat appeared on her brow. “Uh… please turn over so I can start the relaxin’!” Nazuna got her hands ready as Kou rolled over on the futon. At least he knew he’d enjoy this.

As strong fingers worked their way methodically up his back, Kou felt some safety mixed into his other thoughts and feelings. He wasn’t sure if it was because he had taken the massage course before, or if he was buying into the whole superhero thing but either way it was helping him become more comfortable. As she came around the front he saw a flash of blue from her skirt and decided to look down.

Kou realised Nazuna had been softly humming this whole time. He couldn’t quite place the tune. Although he was… he was finding it hard to keep his eyes. His eyes… open…

—------------------------------------------------

It was dark. Moonlight peaked through the window now that it had risen, and combined with the warm glow of street lamps outside it cast sharp shadows in the room. Kou was appreciating the odd shapes in a daze when he suddenly remembered he had been getting a massage from Nazuna. He shot up on the futon and looked around. Nazuna wasn’t there.

Stepping out into the hallway, Kou could hear the faint noise of Nazuna playing games. Of course.

“What kind of cuddle buddy doesn’t finish the sleeping part and plays Gran Turismo?!” Kou demanded. Nazuna smiled as she looked up from her racing game. “Sorry, sorry, I figured, we’d sleep together later anyway.” She was still wearing her costume. “How was it though, my dear guinea pig, despite not waking up next to your gorgeous protector?”

“Hmm how can I put this…” Kou scratched his chin, ignoring her provocation. “There wasn’t much… superheroing? Like I guess you carried me but… I suppose you couldn’t fly them around without giving away you’re a vampire…”

“Not enough superheroing, huh?” Nazuna got up, the smirk returning to her face. “Well I can definitely fix that with you, boy in peril.” She picked him up like before but this time swivelling on her heel before launching them both through the window into the moonlit night.

As the wind whipped his face he once again felt safe. “Hey, can I drink your blood?” Nazuna was looking at his neck hungrily. “Wait, didn’t you do it when I fell asleep?” Kou asked.

Nazuna blushed a bit. “Well I feel bad unless I ask your permission because… because…” Her face got redder and redder. “... because you might actually care for me?” It was Kou’s turn to smirk. “SHUT UP, SHUT UP!” Nazuna looked away to try and hide her face.

“You can have some blood.” Kou pulled down his collar.

Flying through the chill night air under the shimmering moonlight and glittering stars, a vampire wearing a superhero costume bit into the neck of the boy trying to fall in love with her, and slowly succeeding.

“Mmm… you were super delicious.” said the vampire, wiping her lips.
