Summary
Dorcas Meadowes is doing fine, thank you very much. She’s doing well in school, she’s finally found a group of friends that care about and support her, and to top it all off, she has an incredible girlfriend who she loves. Pandora is kind, caring, and everything Dorcas has ever looked for in a partner, and she refuses to let anything, or anyone, get in the way of her perfect relationship. Especially not Marlene McKinnon and her relentless flirting and ‘don’t care’ attitude.
The sun was casting shadows onto her face, making her cheekbones seem more defined and her lips seem fuller. Her eyes were like the ocean, like a storm at sea, the light creating flecks of gold that looked like stars in an endless midnight sky.
Dorcas didn’t know if she wanted to kill her or, God forbid, kiss her. She pushed that thought out of her head as quickly as she could. She composed herself as quickly as possible.
“Sorry,” she mumbled, not meeting Marlene’s eye.
“It’s okay,” Marlene said, a cheeky smirk on her lips, “You’re pretty hot when you’re threatening me.”
