“PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE”
“No, Kalim!” Jamil yelled back, looking away as he tried to hide the red dusting his cheeks.
“Pleaaaaaaaseeee,” the heir begged, tugging on Jamil’s shirt as he did his best puppy dog eyes. Jamil looked away, furrowing his brows desperately as to try to avoid saying another word. “You don’t want to wake up to me screaming again, do you?”
The night before the current event, Kalim had had a nightmare about one of the many kidnappings and had woken up screaming. It took several minutes of Jamil repeating who he was and where they were, as well as a slowly increasing amount of physical comfort for the heir to calm down.
(Jamil was positive they’d woken up the entire dorm, but he was luckily wrong.)
“Kalim, this is an incredibly unorthodox way of going about this-”
“How? We used to do this all the time as kids-”
“As kids!” Jamil shrieked, his usual composure melting away. “As kids! We’re almost fully-grown adults now!”
“And what’s wrong with sleeping in the same bed as adults?” Kalim pouted.
Jamil decided that the shorter definitely knew what he was doing and was trying to torture him.
“C’mon, Jamil!” the heir tugged on his servant’s arm again. “I’m rarely ever this pushy about stuff! Please?”
The brunette sighed heavily. There was no getting out of this. “Fine. But not a word about this to anyone. ”
Kalim immediately perked up, wrapping Jamil in a tight hug. “Yay! Thank you thank you thank you!”
Outside of Kalim’s dorm room, Jamil tensed. He could feel heat radiating from his cheeks again. This was a horrible idea. He should just walk away right now and be done with it. Kalim wouldn't care. It’s not like he was waiting or anything. Jamil should just-
Kalim opened the door, smiling softly. He looked almost surprised. The servant stepped into the room.
“Uh,” Kalim mumbled, trying his best to break the awkward silence. “So.. how do you want to do this?”
“Wasn’t this your idea?” Jamil raised an eyebrow.
“Well, yes, but I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable-”
The servant sighed. The heir was overly considerate towards someone he quite literally owned. Jamil grabbed the other’s hand, dragging him over to the bed and pushing him onto it. Kalim yelped, and Jamil laid down next to him.
There was a pause, and a little bit of shuffling as the white-haired boy scooted closer to his companion, laying his head on his chest.
Jamil prayed that Kalim didn’t hear his heart beating in overdrive as heat rushed to his cheeks again.
“Goodnight, Jamil…” the heir whispered, already half asleep. He moved an arm to wrap his human pillow in a half-hug. Jamil was going to scream.
The boy snored quietly, and the taller of the two allowed himself to flusteredly groan. This was a horrible idea. Why did he agree to this?? He never should have agreed to this.
Slowly, ignoring how hot his cheeks felt and how fast his heart beat, Jamil moved his arm to meet Kalim back in the loose hug. The latter nuzzled into his companion, sighing contently.
Even in his sleep he’s clingy, Jamil thought.
As usual, though, the weight of running around all day came crashing back onto him, and he felt himself slipping into a blissful sleep.
