1x liked to think that they were as close to content as they could get.
Sure, Shedletsky was the most horrendous creator one could ask for, having taken one look at them before immediately drop kicking them into imprisonment for life, but 1x was over it. Hating the fucker wasn't even fun anymore, because instead of fighting back with words or swords like his past self had, he just stunned 1x and ran away looking stupidly guilty.
But asides from that issue, everything was going pretty well. They killed freely and had a space suitable for their... interests.
1x should've known it was too good to be true, or at least too fragile to last.
They were going to download Bugs Bunny into the Specter's code. Then strangle its physical form. Because dammit they did NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH A LITERAL CHILD WHAT THE HELL—

The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
