    Cait can tell Chris is stressed from the way he comes into her room. It’s like there’s gray clouds, rain-heavy and dark, surrounding his head and shoulders. He’s quiet, holding himself stiffly, eyes darting around, and the kiss he gives her in greeting is distracted at best. She can feel herself slipping into something like Captain Mode while he puts his things down and kicks off his shoes.
