Elia pulled away from Rhaegar and stood. She cupped his face, forcing him to look up at her in the eye. “We do not need a prince from the stories. Queen Rhaella needs a son to comfort her and tell her that despite all she has suffered, she is still worthy of love and that she is beautiful. I need a husband to protect me, I need a man who loves his wife and doesn’t let his dreams lead him astray."
Rhaegar wanted to be a Prince out of the songs and stories, but at the Tourney of Harrenhal, when faced with the suffering of those he loves, he struggles to make things right.
