they settle again into that comfortable silence, their thighs pressed together, with no effort to move despite being caked in blood and sweat. they are fantastic at just being together, robin realises. they don’t feel they need to fill the silence with chatter because, robin concedes, half of the time they know what the other is thinking anyway.

robin whole body feels like he has been set on fire. hes finns. he belongs to finney blake. he can’t believe it’s taken so long for them both to realise it. this is new but also so so normal as if it was meant to be this way all along.he moves his hand from finns and turns to take his face into his palms. he uses his thumbs to trace finns nose, the curl of his eyelashes, and cupid’s bow. he runs the pads of his thumb over finns mouth and his breath hitches in his throat when he sees finns throat bob with a swallow.
god, he devastates robin.
“y’know,” robin mutters, his eyes looking over finns face, taking stock of this gorgeous human in front of him. “i think you’re right.” he says this firmly, his jaw hardens and robin doesn’t know what he’ll do if finns looks at him like this for much longer.
finns eyes are moon-wide with his mouth slightly open. he looks at robin like he’s the only person in the world and just maybe he is. he thinks he would find robin in any world.
“i think i am yours,” robin says simply, his eyes finally settling on finns. they’re both pliable against each other’s touch and it feels like the world has stopped turning on its silly little axis.
“i think im yours and finney blake, i think you’re mine. thats how it’s meant to be.” robin leans forward and presses his lips to finns (finally, oh finally) and there are fireworks in robins brain. the kiss is soft and perfect and robin can’t quite believe he’s wasted so much time not kissing finney blake.
