Chapter Text
“i can't do this anymore sally face, okay?'' Travis whispered, his gaze staying glued to the concrete of the Addison Apartments parking lot.
Sal's eyes narrowed, his head tilting to the side slightly. “do what trav?”
Travis felt a pang in his heart at the nickname, he takes a deep breath and prays that the tremble in his hands won’t go to his voice as well.
“i-i’m not..” he takes a second to gather his thoughts. “This is sinful behavior.”
“trav-” sal starts but Travis sharply cuts him off.
“I have to go. Please don’t call.”
Travis turns and starts to walk away, his face twists into a grimace as tears fill his eyes. tears drip down the blonde's face, leaving behind streams of heartbreak on his skin.
Travis doesn’t know if Sal tries to call out for him, the sound of his own heart pounding in his ears drowns out all other sounds.

When Travis arrives home he runs straight up to his bedroom, avoiding his father at all costs.
He falls to his knees as soon as he reaches his bedroom. Painful sobs rip from the boy's body, his small frame shaking like a branch in a windstorm.
He tries to gasp for hair but none can reach his lungs.
‘Will God love me now?’ Travis thinks.
The blonde curls up on the cold hardwood floor, still trembling. He grabs at his hair, pulling at it, trying to feel any pain besides that of his heart shattering into pieces.
His mind is a mess. A thousand thoughts race through his brain every second, not allowing him a moment of peace.
‘Will I finally be clean again?’
