Gabriel and Nathalie entered Adrien’s room.
This was it; he was going to tell his son the truth about being Shadow Moth, and no unwanted family visits would interrupt this time.
He would be upset at first, but once he explained about his mother–
His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of Adrien enthusiastically beating crash test dummies dressed like Hawk Moth and Mayura with a bat.
“Adrien! What is the meaning of this?!”
“Oh, hi, Father, Nathalie, I’m just taking my anger at two certain supervillains out on these Hawk Moth and Mayura dummies. They're really popular,” He hit the Hawk Moth dummy again.
He flinched, “ok,” He said. He and Nathalie looked at each other uneasily. “But why do you hate Hawk Moth and Mayura?”
Adrien raised an eyebrow, “Aside from the fact he terrorises the city and has akumatized and or put in danger everyone I care about multiple times?”
“I think your father is asking if there's anything specific they did to upset you,” Nathalie interjected.
“Well, they sabotaged Chloé’s progress and destroyed our friendship.”
“What?!” They said in unison.
“I really thought we would go back to how we were when we were little, but then everything went wrong. It happened when everyone in Paris was stung by those wasps. Kagami protected me and gave me time to jump into the Seine. I kept swimming until I came to the Akuma fight and saw Chloé helping them of her own free will!”
He hit the Mayura dummy in the head, causing Nathalie to turn white.
“Apparently, they had been manipulating her into making that decision for a long time, and she has become worse ever since. Last week, there was that whole thing with the movie just because she got jealous of Zoé.”
“I recall,” Gabriel said.
“Well, during that, all I did was suggest she apologise to everyone for trying to take over the movie, and she ended our friendship just like that. And. It’s. All. Their. Fault!”
He hit the dummies a few more times until the Hawk Moth dummy broke in half.
“So, what did you want to talk to me about?”
“Oh! Umm, nothing important!” Gabriel said.
“Just some details for the next photo shoot, nothing urgent!” Nathalie added.
They slowly backed out of the room.
After they left, Adrien stared in confusion before shrugging and continuing to beat the dummies.
