What do you mean, terrorist?!

As Gabriel is being taken to the Police station, he learns just how great his crimes were.

Notes:

I do not own this show or these characters.

Work Text:

After having his Miraculous taken away, Gabriel was arrested and placed in a police car.

He had been so close! And how dare Adrien betray him like that! Betraying his city, his friends, and the love of his life would have been a small price to pay for his mother's life!

“Well, Ted, I never thought we would be the ones to take France's most infamous terrorist to the station.”

“What do you mean, terrorist?!” Gabriel demanded.

“Carl, is he serious?” Ted asked incredulously.

“I am not a terrorist! A terrorist is someone who has a political, religious or ideological cause. My only cause was to save my wife!”

Carl snorted, “Sir, after everything you did, the international community is not going to care about technicalities.”

“International community?”

“Well, yeah, aside from everything you did here in Paris, you caused a train to crash into Big Ben.”

“That was Pegasus’s fault!”

The horse hero had made an apology about that during an interview on the Ladyblog.

“You were the one who made the akuma,” Ted pointed out.

“And after that, there was that business in Shanghai where your akuma destroyed the whole city,” Carl continued.

“He got out of my control!”

“And then you mind-controlled almost all the American heroes into going on a rampage, and to top it all off, you launched a nuke! That was when everyone really started paying attention to you.”

He couldn't defend that one.

“Face it, buddy," Ted said, “You are in a lot of trouble.”

“But I did it for my wife!”

“Why do you keep saying that as if it excuses anything?” Carl asked, “Everyone has their own sad stories. Everyone has lost someone. You. Are. Not. Special.”

“How dare you!” Gabriel roared and jumped at them, but fortunately, Ted subdued him before he could cause the car to crash.

“And now we can add assaulting police officers and resisting arrest to your list of crimes,” Ted told him.
