Summary
In 2003, the unlikeliest of friends–a young lawyer and a former delinquent–form a brief but unforgettable bond with a recent college graduate during his final summer in his hometown. In 2008, reeling from the loss of his last remaining relative and determined to make something of his family farm, the graduate returns, disrupting the carefully constructed lives the other two men have built for themselves in his absence.
As these two stories run parallel to one another against the backdrop of a fictional Midwestern town, these three men will have to contend with long-buried feelings, past regrets, and conflicting desires for the future–and for each other.
