Summary
There is a gun pointed right in his direction and a guard telling him not to answer and to kill the lights and sirens. He hates to admit it but he is terrified. Not for himself but for Eddie, the flashbacks of the sniper attack still fresh in his mind.
He hears Eddie react in the back of the ambulance but he doesn't say a word. He just continues driving and continues listening to the guard's instructions ( by now he is sure these aren't the prison guards). He drives and drives until he is told to stop where no one sees them.
