Chapter Text
Trembling, Nancy shook her head. When she was invited over for a horror movie, she thought she'd be able to handle it. Unfortunately, she was wrong. Nancy decided to take a break from the screen, looking around at her surroundings to ground her thoughts.
Steve was passed out on the couch, lying upside down. He had insisted that it was "more comfortable." Eddie was on the love seat, eating the horror movie up like it was his last meal. Jonathan and Argyle had left a while ago, saying they needed rest for the drive back to California. Last but not least, her eyes landed on Robin. Nancy couldn't help but be amused. Robin was on the edge of her seat, eating her popcorn while intently staring at the screen. If she hadn't known any better, Nancy would have said that Robin was more interested in the movie than Eddie was.
The two of them had to share Steve's other couch, as Steve had complained that he was the owner of the house so he should have the biggest spot, or whatever. Robin noticed the weight shift a bit on the couch as Nancy started looking around. So, she turned to look at her.
"Scared?" Robin couldn't help but giggle a bit as Nancy tried to act brave. "No," Nancy retorted. "Just looking to see if Steve would keep his promise of staying awake." At this, Robin looked over at the sleeping man. "That lying sack of shit," she whisper-yelled, throwing one of her arms up. Nancy chuckled a bit.
As they both turned their attention back to the TV, a particularly eerie scene was beginning to unfold. Subconsciously, Nancy scooted closer to Robin. Feeling her hand suddenly move, she looked down a bit to find her hand was closer to Robin's hand.
With a slight shake of her head, Nancy subtly moved her hand closer back to herself.
