    Summary

It’s the start of 1990, an hour out of Indianapolis. Tom Petty is topping charts; David Lynch is redefining film and television; and AZT prices have dropped in wake of national action.
Nurse Steve Harrington serves his time at Hawkins’ Medical, home to one of Indiana’s largest AIDS clinics. Newcomer Robin Buckley takes the only hospital job she can in wake of her contribution to the Cosmo Girl protest. ACT UP member Eddie Munson works with the gay men of the community to help them get the HIV testing and treatment they need. And journalist Nancy Wheeler documents the lives of those confined to the ward, despite pushback from her work. With the statistics stacked against them in their small, conservative town, these four fight against the clock to save the lives of all who enter the hospital doors. Every 8 minutes, another person dies from the deadliest pandemic in our times – and any of their loved ones could be next.
