Although Eula and Amber had already dated for 6 months, nothing changed much. They always do their job like always and sometimes they meet up and have lunch or dinner together. And of course, they have their private dance just the two of them.
And as always, today Eula was doing her job as Reconnaissance Company's captain doing some paperwork at her office from morning until now. Even she didn't know it was already past 3 pm. Because she didn't eat anything in the morning, she felt more exhausted than usual. And because of that, it made her bad mood.
When Eula went out of her office, deciding to take a break and have lunch, Eula pass the outrider's office, and she hear her laugh and said "Oh my god her writing is suck. I barely know what she wants to say in this letter." And then she said with a fond voice "Maybe I should teach her to use the proper way to use that word when she comes to Mondo again."
Hearing all of that make Eula curious, And right now, she's in dilemma either go inside, ask her lover what she's reading or ignore it and grab her lunch. After pondering for a while, she decides to knock on the outrider's office. Hoping that maybe if they have their lunch together, she will tell her something about it.
Not long after that, she can hear the person behind the door running toward her, and then she open the door quickly and said "Eula, I miss you!" while hugging her.
Hearing Amber said that makes Eula a little surprised because she didn't expect Amber to hug her and say something embarrassing that loud. Besides, why does she knows it's her that knock on the door? What if she mistakes it for other people? While Eula thought all of that, Amber close their distance more than she already did, and then she put their foreheads together and said "Eula your face is paler than usual. But it didn't seem like you caught a cold?"
After Amber said that, Eula just realized how close their face was. She turn her face away, cross her arm, and said "I'm fine. Someone like you needn't have to worry about me. Who do you think I'm? I will remember this transgression"
"Don't tell me you didn't eat anything from the morning?" said Amber while placing her index finger and thumb to her chin, making a thinking pose.
"It's nothing like that. I already ate this morning. But maybe it's not enough to last till now." lies Eula like nothing. "Enough about that. Do you want to grab lunch with me? If you already eat it's fine though. You can do your stuff again."
"I will accompany you! Besides, I already finished my job for today. Let's go to Good Hunter." said Amber while pulling Eula's arm.
When they arrived at Good Hunter, they make their order and then wait at their usual place. And then at that time, finally Amber said the thing Eula want to know since the first time she heard it.
"So, today I received a letter from an old friend from Sumeru. Her name is Collei. She's a good girl and just saying her name, makes me remember you. It's not like her appearance is similar to yours but it's more like her character is like you. Like how she always says mean a thing but actually didn't mean it or her lonesome side that says she needs help but too affraid to ask for help." Before Amber says more than that, Eula interrupts her.
"I'm not like that! How dare you speak like that, especially where I'm the one you're talking with" said Eula while looking away and crossing her hand like always.
"I'm not badmouthing you. I just said that because I think it's your cute side! Well, listen to me first I'm not done."
"Hmpf, I will remember this transgression"
Before Amber continues her story, Sara comes to their table and brings their food. "Here's your order and extra salad on house! Enjoy the meals" Said Sara while giving her best smile and leaving quickly before Eula can say anything.
"She always does this. How dare she give free food to someone like me. I will remember this." said Eula to herself. And then she continues to listen to her girlfriend's rambling while eating her lunch
"Okay okay, so when she moves to Sumeru, I think she changes a lot. Because in her letter, she said she want to become a dependable ranger. I think she's become more lively? And today, I received a letter from her but, not like the usually neat, and formal letter her teacher writes, I received a letter that she wrote by herself! Although it's hard to say what she wants to say in her letter, I think she will come to Mondo to celebrate her recovery from her illness? Whether it's true or not I'm very happy to receive a letter that she wrote by herself!"
Hearing Amber talk that long about another person makes Eula a little Jealous. But what can she do about it except have a long sigh and hope everything will be fine, and nothing will change between them. At least she can sleep soundly tonight because she knows what Amber read that time in her office.
"I will introduce you to her when she comes to Mondo!" Amber excitedly. Just thinking of the two people she likes so much being a friend with each other makes her giddy.
