Reaching out, you place your hand on his throat, just above the collar, and pull the leash until it’s taught with the other. Eddie’s eyes flutter closed and you feel his throat bob beneath your palm as he swallows.
“Wow.” He says just above a whisper, “So it’s gonna be that kind of night, prince-”
The nickname immediately dies on his tongue, replaced with a low groan as you nudge him with the top of your booted foot. You click your tongue at him.
“Do I look like a princess to you, darling? Tonight, I am your queen, pet, and you’ll do well to behave.”
