It was a Monday.Jonathan and Nancy’s least favorite day.To make it even worst, it was a Monday at Hawkins Post.’It will be fine’He says.’They will realize eventually how talented you are!’He says.
”Oh, Look who it is!”
Nancy grumbles as Bruce gets out of his chair and walks to the couple.”Nancy Drew and her boyfriend!”Bruce teased.She mumbles something under her breath.Jonathan nudges her shoulder.
Later in the day, Nancy was cleaning up a mess that the men, specially Bruce, had made.”Uh oh, Nancy Drew, looks like I made mess.”Nancy mocked Bruce’s tone.She picks up the last piece of garbage.”Finally done!”
Nancy leans onto the wall and sighs.She feels a hand sneaking up her waist.”You okay?”Jonathan asks.”Just tired.”She replies as she turns around to him.
”I’m sorry.”
He says that too much.I’m sorry.Most of the time, it’s not even his fault.”Oh Nancy Drew~!”They sigh.”I got to go.”Nancy wishes she didn’t.”It’s okay.I got a few more pictures to finish.”She leans in to kiss him.”Nancy Drew~!”
“Coming!”
They were talking about new stories for the newspaper.Ever since the mall opened, all the street shops weren’t doing so good.”Maybe the disappearance of Will Byers.”One of the man suggested.
Nancy looks up from the coffee cups.”No, it was already covered.Plus, it happened years ago.Nobody would care.”Tom shuts down the idea.
”Maybe we should-“Nancy starts before she gets interrupted by one of the men, Daniel.
Daniel always made inappropriate comments towards Nancy and even would touch her a few times.”Oh no, pretty face.Leave the men to this.”He had touched her butt.They laugh and she leaves, humiliated.
Nancy busts into the darkroom, not caring about Jonathan’s lecture.”Nancy-“He stops when he sees her crying.He walks up and hugs her.
”What’s wrong?”He already knows.”Them is what’s wrong!”She cries into his shirt.Jonathan rubs her back.
”It’s okay.They just need time to see how amazing you are.”There it is again.Nancy loves Jonathan, but sometimes he just can’t understand.
”But when, Jonathan?!You keep saying that they need time but how much do they need?!”Nancy snaps at him.She didn’t mean to.
”I’m sorry.”Nancy apologizes.”It’s okay.I’m sorry too.”They spend the rest of the day together.
