Introduction
The villain rekindled and even more corrupted
After 5 years spent in a cryo-induced limbo and flying from planet to planet, Queen Chrysalis, a.k.a Captain Chrysalis returns to Equestria, only to learn things have gone a little south there. While the pony kind needs to learn how to cooperate again and face the dangers the world throws at them, the other creatures want a piece of the turf for themselves. And if that isn't enough, the old reliable disaster pony, the fallen angel of purple coat and magical potential worth of a princess, threatens to make her return. Will Chrysalis survive and defend what she's helped build?
Twilight's diary Day 1825
Steaming pools of molten metal mixture boiled. The surface of the metal horseshoe ringed against the pavement somewhere in the distance.
Broken, but alive. One could describe Twilight Sparkle that way.
For the last decade, she was rebuilding what was lost. Changeling Ark carried her and those who remained loyal, to some forsaken part of the universe. Once she had woken up from suspended animation, Twilight knew she wasn't home anymore. At first, it came as a shock, but later discoveries proved she might have a chance.
Ark brought her to an abandoned superstructure. By a rough guess, it used to be an orbital shipyard, as it was built in a similar way to steampunk shipyards in Equestria, where pony airships were constructed. Thanks to her intellectual talent and unspeakable skills, Twilight was able to get the shipyard working.
The construct was, in fact, a ring around a barren planet. Twilight discovered, the construct's fabrication plant had blueprints for building spaceships - from small fighters to those as big as the very Ark that brought them there.
It was hard work, as Twilight was the only one who could operate the machines. She could understand the language in which the machines talked to her. She could read data that was stored within memory crystals...
The orbital ring had a suitable environment for living. If Twilight didn't want to return to Equestria, she could remain for the rest of her days. Her crew wanted exactly that and Twilight had to sooth them with a few changeling tricks to avert rebellion. She still had the ruby from Celestia's regalia on her. Twilight was studying hard to give it back its power and the new home gave her the answer.
There was a machine at the station. It could give form to the very mineral, from which the regalia gemstone, and even her broken Element of Harmony, were made. Changelings had to be quite smart, even by Twilight's standards. It was a shame that damn Queen Chrysalis turned out to be a bad apple. She could have been a valuable ally.
Twilight's fleet was slowly making a formation. Massive shadow of her flagship flew by.
Celestial Pride was a great vessel, forged from ancient alloys and magic. Twilight couldn't be more proud.
All six Elements of Harmony were in working order. They were put into the power core of Celestial Pride and were used as energy conductors for the main weapon - The Harmony Cannon.
Twilight was ready. It was time to take back her kingdom. One small thing was left to do though. Convincing her former friends to trust in her cause once again.
"Pfff, don't worry, girl. You can do anything."
"Princess Celestia would be so proud of you."
Creepy, insane smile appeared on the mad unicorn's face.
