Now onto to the story and just to clarify the story happens a the day she snuck of to republic city, you meet Korra
Y/N's POV
Me and my brother, Nichi was taking a seventy pound, 30-foot-tall snow leopard caribou was speeding sixty miles per hour "Slow down Snowflake!" I said trying stop the speeding animal, but she wouldn't instead we were headed right for an ice wall. "Oh no." we both say at the same time, Snowflake then sniffed the air then said, "OH YES, MEAT!" then proceeds to climb said wall. At this point I gave up on trying to slow her down I just wanted to stay alive.
If I thought going up was bad, good lord down was hell. She retracted her claws and using her hoof shaped paws to glide down the wall which is impressive saying we were going directly up and down. Once we on level ground, she ran right into a building where people were eating and she was about to munch on a tanned skin girl's food, that's it
"ENOUGH!" I said pulling on her reins hard, accidentally going into my spirit state using my deep, booming voice. Everyone looked terrified 'Well shit' I thought. Snowflake immediately stopped and backed away as I got off her back, my eyes stopped glowing as I bent down to the girl. "Are you okay." The two made eye contact as their eyes glowed blue, gold and teal Tenzin and the leader of the White lotus saw this an instantly knew what happened. Raava and Naari found each other once again
"How did you do that?!" She says completely ignoring my question
"Don't worry about it." I said trying to brush it off
"Don't worry about it?! How can I not that voice was creepy and your eyes glowed pod and teal."
"Leave it alone." Suddenly, a polar bear dog came up to me, licking my face
Korra's POV
Naga walked in and like the girl's face "Hello there, what's your name?" "Her name's-" I got interrupted by Naga's loud bark "Naga's a beautiful name." The strange girl and boy said simultaneously. HOW DID THEY KNOW HER NAME?! CAN THEY UNDERSTAND ANIMALS? As if the universe heard my thoughts Tenzin and the leader of the white lotus looked at the snow leopard caribou's crest on its chest, it had Ying and Yang symbol "Do you two happen to be the children of the L/N family?" White lotus leader asked
"Yes we are, I'm Y/N and this is my twin brother Nichi and that's Snowflake." Y/N said gesturing to each of them. I'm confused "Who's the L/N family." I asked, "The L/N family has always had a spiritual connection with animals, it's so strong they can understand what they're saying." Y/N continues the explanation "Each member in my family has a spirit guide, of course in the form of an animal sometimes we have more than one the max you can have is five."
Then who I assumed is Nichi continues "We share them since we're twins, we have three more but they're in Republic City, we're going tomorrow." I was amazed I wonder if Naga's my spirit guide, I was about to ask if I weren’t interrupted by The White lotus leader (A/N: dammit I could never remember his name anyway) asked them if they would stay for a while so Snowflake can rest. They accepted and White lotus guy (A/N: I'm calling him that now) asked me to show Y/N where Snowflake can sleep.
Narrator's POV
Korra looked at Y/N admiring her features. Y/N was very fit, she had six pack that made Korra think of some explicit things about her making her face blush. “See something you like sunshine?” Y/N said in a seductive voice.
“I-I umm…”
“It’s ok, I just caught you staring.” Y/N said taking off Snowflake’s saddle so she can sleep comfortably. A few minutes after they headed back Y/n said goodnight to Korra, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“Goodnight sunshine.”
“Goodnight moonbeam.”
Y/N’s POV
“Tonight, was insane.” I said, putting on Snowflake’s saddle “It was, imagine if they knew?” Nichi asked, “I mean they knew who we were just by looking Snow’s crest. Not to mention your eyes glowing, deep scary voice and understanding animals.” I gave him a glare that just screamed ‘Seriously?’ “Sorry but true.”
“True about what? Also why are you two here?” We jumped at the sound of….the tanned girl idk her name
"We said we’ll stay until Snowflake is fully rested and she is so we’re leaving why are you here?” I said looking down at the girl
“I’m leaving to start my air bending training with Tenzin.” She replied
“By the way I never got your name.”
“I’m Korra the Avatar.” Korra responded with a smug smirk on her face
“Alright Avatar.” I said grabbing her chin, forcing her to look up at me “Hurry up before-“
“Someone catches you?” We looked around to see Master Katara with a wide grin on her face
“I have to find my own path as the Avatar.”
“And I think you’re going to be a great avatar.”
“Thank you.” Korra said hugging the small water bending master
“Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news we need to get outta her, Y/N could you makes us a tunnel.” My brother asks. I gladly make a tunnel so we can escape without getting caught. I got on Snowflake as Naga shook herself of the excess snow. Korra and I agreed we’d say goodbye to ours families and meet in the luggage room of the ship. Me and Nichi packed some clothes and essentials and placed them on Snowflake. We found Korra behind a bunch of boxes big enough for our animal companions to hide behind. I leaned on Snowflake smiling to myself, thinking how great it is to see Republic City again
Next Day
I woke feeling someone shaking me awake "Five more minutes." "No, we have to wake up now there's people moving the luggage.” Nichi I immediately got up as we scurried onto Snowflake. As the unsuspecting worker moved the bag, Snowflake and Naga jumped out scaring the poor fella, we dismounted the ship as Korra shouted, “Thanks for the ride!” I kept staring at Avatar Aang Memorial Island. “Air Temple Island. That’s were Tenzin lives, ready for a little swim girl.” Korra asked Naga though it seemed Naga and Snowflake had different ideas about other things as they dashed off full speed trying to find some food. I can’t blame them I’m starving.
Korra’s POV
As Naga and Snowflake ran to find some food the move their heads through a tent and were about to eat the food, I stopped her “ Naga, wait.” “Snowflake, heel.” I heard them whimper before getting off
“We’ll take one of everything please.”
“That’ll be twenty yuans.”
CRAP I did not think about that
“I don’t have any money.” I say hoping the vendor will have a kind heart
“THEN WHAT GOOD ARE YOU TO ME!”
Nevermind
“Don’t worry Korra, the city’s huge I’m sure we’ll find something to eat.” Y/N says trying to be positive. It’s adorable wait what?
Later
After our run in with the police about illegal fishing, I some guy talking about tearing down the bending establishment. “What are you talking about bending is the coolest thing in the world.”
“Oh yeah, let me guess you’re a bender?”

“Yeah I am.”
“And I bet you’d just love to knock me off this platform with some water bending, huh?”
“I’m seriously thinking about it.”
“THIS is what’s wrong with the city benders like this girl only use their power to oppress us.” The crowd turns to me and starts booing at me
“What? I’m not oppressing anyone. You’re oppressing yourselves.” Before they say anything Nichi walks up to the crowd and speaks
“You do know without you won’t have the essentials like, clean water, electricity or indoor heating not to mention the police wouldn’t have a better chance at catching criminals with metal bending.” The crowd starts to disperse after his little speech. “Nice job bro!” Y/N cheers as her high-fives her brother “I know right.” After wandering the city for about ten minutes it’s safe to assume we were lost. I walked up to some store owners asking them for directions
“Excuse me, I think we’re lost. How do we get to Air Temple Island from here?” The lady was kind enough to give us the information we needed
“Just head down this street…...” but before she could speak a fancy Sato-mobile came down the street and the woman looks horrified “You and your friends should get moving it isn’t safe.” Before I knew what’s happening, they were threatening and old man to give them money
“Give me the money or else…”
“Or else what hoodlum?” The three started laughing ‘Ohh they have no idea what’s coming’ I thought “Since you two are obvious fresh off the boat, let me explain a couple of things. You’re in Triple Threat Triad territory and we’re about to put you both in the hospital.”
“Listen here bucko” Y/N started clearly done with these three “You’re the only one’s who’s going in a hospital and for your sake I hope there’s one nearby.” She responded cracking her knuckles, god she looks hot what am I saying?
“Who do you think you are?”
“Why don’t you come and find out?”
Narrator’s POV
This angered him as he threw and ball of water at Korra, obviously she caught it and redirected towards his face, freezing it as it covers his entire face in ice. He stumbles forward in hopes of getting a hit on Korra, as Korra counter attacked it with a round-house kick to his face smashing right into the Sato-mobile with enough force to breaking the ice and knock him unconscious.
The next guy tried to earth bend her away and once again beat him to it as he goes flying in the air, knocking into a few things before falling on the ground. And the last guy tries to fire bend and her which she gladly dove into and pushed in aside as if it were water, grabs him by his hands and throws him into a clock store
“Any idea of who I am now, chumps.” Suddenly the same Sato-mobile picks up said fire bender and tries to make a break for it, but Korra wasn’t having any of that
“You’re not getting away!” she shouts as she earth bended a rock to come out of the ground knocking the Sato-mobile up in the air and ramming right in another shop.
A siren starting blaring as Naga howled, the police tried to arrest Y/N and Korra got chased by the police eventually got arrested, Tenzin let them stay and blah blah blah (Sorry I really want to get to the drama)
Y/N’s POV
Korra was reading a newspaper and knowing her what’s on it must be interesting. “And in the final round, the buzzard wasps won with a decisive knockout. What do you say we go to the arena tonight, catch a few pro-bending matches?”
Yeah like Tenzin’s gonna agree to that
“That sport is a mockery of noble tradition of bending.”
Called it
“Come on Tenzin, I’ve dreamed about seeing a pro-bending match since I was a kid and now, I’m just a ferry ride away from the arena.”
“Korra you’re not here to watch that drivvle, you’re here to finish your avatar training. And Y/N can start mastering her elements.”
“Wait, how did you know?”
“It was pretty obvious the night you meant Korra, not to mention I saw you training last night: fire, water, earth and spirit bending.” In the corner of my eye, I can see Nichi giving me an ‘I told you not to’ face.
“What do you mean ‘Her elements’?” How was I supposed to say oh hey I’m the vessel of Naari who’s Raava’s spirit mate and we’re supposed to be together forever?
“Don’t worry about.” I’m getting déjà vu here
“How can I not? And what’s spirit bending?”
“Korra” I say cautiously “Drop. It.”
“Just tell me!” She never gives up does she
“You wanna know so badly? You should know who Naari is!” I shouted stomping outta there
Korra’s POV
‘What does she mean I would know Naari?’ I thought as I looked out of the window, staring at the arena. Apparently, I need to be in Air Acolyte clothes to do this properly. Tenzin and I were walking down a corridor outside leading to where I was supposed to be doing an exercise
“So, my mother informed me that you’ve never been able to air bend before.” He stated, I was focusing more on Y/N and if she was ok, also this strange feeling in my heart as if it was aching for her, I want it to stop.
“Yeah but I dunno why, the other elements came so easily to me but every single time I’ve tried air bending, *blowing raspberries* nothing.”
“That’s perfectly alright you just need to be patient, often the element most difficult for the Avatar to master is the most opposite to the Avatar’s personality. For Aang it was earth bending.”
“Well, I’m about as opposite an airbender as you can get.” The air master completely ignored my statement
“Let’s begin your first lesson.” He said walking away. We arrived at the training spot to see Jinora, Ikki and Meelo “Korra’s gonna air bend, Korra’s gonna air bend!” Ikki screamed behind them were a bunch of gates?
“What is that contraption?”
"A time-honored tool that teaches the most fundamental aspect of air bending. Jinora, would you like to explain this exercise?"
Jinora approaches the gates as she explains it to us “"The goal is to weave your way through the gates and make it to the other side without touching them."
“Seems easy enough.”
“Jinora forgot to say you have to get through while the gates are spinning.” Of course, the universe had to wipe the smile off my face. Tenzin steps forward as he creates a powerful gust of wind, then he pulls out a leaf. ‘What’s a leaf gonna do with the exercise?’
“The key is to be like the leaf, flow with the movement of the gates. Jinora will demonstrate.” Instantly she’s off dodging all of them gates effortlessly "Air bending is all about spiral movements. When you meet resistance, you must be able to switch direction at a moment's notice." He explains as Jinora comes out the other side.
"Let's do this." Instantly I get hit

I can hear multiple voices trying to help
"Don't force your way through!"

I was trying to air bend a newspaper, but I just ended up burning the entire thing down. “Maybe I’m not cut out to be an air bender huh Naga.” My one-sided conversation was interrupted by a radio "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm coming to you live from Republic City's pro-bending arena, where tonight, the best in the world continue their quest for a spot in the upcoming championship tournament. Grab your snacks and grab your kids because the next match is gonna be a doozy.” ‘Oh, I gotta here this!’ I thought getting on the rooftop of the small building.
Y/N’s POV
How could she not know who Naari is?
‘Maybe Raava didn’t tell her’
‘Why wouldn’t she?’
‘She has her reasons.’
‘For what Naari?’
‘I can’t read minds.’
‘News flash neither can I!’
“Y/N?” My argument with ‘myself’ got interrupted by my brother “Yeah?” I replied “Wanna go visit Nile, Pebble and Haniifa, after visit Ko and Bo at the arena and maybe workout at the gym there?” I haven’t seen them in a while, and they are all in Republic city. “Alright let’s get Snowflake.” We walked up to the caves where the sky bison sleep cause Snowflake always liked dark places to sleep. We called her from outside the caves she came running out, licking our faces.
“Hey girl ready to see Auntie Kyra.”
“Auntie Kyra! Yay let’s go, go, go!” She bounced up and down like a Rabaroo, which is impressive considering her weight. “Ok ok, let’s get your saddle.” Nichi said. I thought it was my imagination, but I could’ve sworn I saw a baby sky bison following us. ‘Naari am I going insane, or did I see a baby sky bison?’ I asked hoping for an answer ‘You’re not going insane it’s right behind you.’ I looked behind me to see the baby trailing right behind me. ‘Good to know I have 360 vision.’
“Hello there little guy, what’s your name?”
“I don’t have one yet.” he replies sadly
“How about I chose one for you? How about....” I say drifting off looking at him take in his adorable features. His toe beans made you wanna boop them, the stripes however were a different story. Instead of going straight is went in a zigzag, even had stripes on his legs it also had a flame like to them, don’t get me wrong it makes him look unique. “Do you like Phoenix?” The air bending animal practically had sparks in his eyes.
“Yes, I love it!” I love the way he reacted. It’s cute! I might just die from it. I felt us being lifted in the air, the world around us disappear, leaving us to focus on each other. In my peripheral view, I see bits of spirit energy flying below the two of us. It seems familiar but I was busy enjoying this moment with Phoenix. A wave of spiritual energy came over me leaving an red going orange going to amber from hands to shoulders and toes to thighs (You can’t see them on your legs but you feel them)
“Whoa!” is all I could muster. My little fantasy quickly switched back to reality by my feet touching solid ground once more with the sounds of cheers. Tenzin along with his family looked shocked and Nichi had similar marks to me.
“I have never seen anything like that before?” Tenzin asked walking up to me “How did you do it?”
“I bonded with him. His name is Phoenix by the way.” I answered, holding the ball of fur to his face though he didn’t seem very pleased “Y/N, you don’t choose the bison, they choose you, not the other way around.”
“But I didn’t choose him he followed me, I just connected with him.” I countered getting a bit angry for him even accusing me of that, I know how Air culture works ya know. “I’m sorry for accusing you I’m just surprised on how quickly he chose you.” I honestly don’t know either, all I know is that Phoenix is mine.
“Come on Y/N, I got Snow’s saddle on and she’s ready to go.” Nichi said breaking my thoughts “I hope she can manage one more passenger. Buh-bye everyone!”
