Let’s go to the beach

Summary:

Revenant gets needy and this is the one with Path with his swim suit.

Notes:

This was again from around 2020 or 2021 and I rushed to finish it so sorry if it sucks lmao. But I just wanted it done. I feel I haven’t been able to finish anu works and I might have around 50 fics of Revfinder just unfinished with a story and all.

Work Text:

Storm point was beautiful. Beaches that stretched beyond what the eye could see, with skies more blue than what dreams had. And Pathfinder with a red painted swimsuit, playing lifeguard for everyone else.

At first he refused to leave where he was tightly wound in his tree that he had found most comfortable. Where the branches curled just right for him to lie in peace.

There he stared at how Pathfinder would run around the sand, playing with his friends who'd do silly tricks and play their stupid games. So far he'd seen Pathfinder play volleyball, beach football or whatever it is when you kick balls in a beach, have a little dance party to ancient songs before returning to his life guard post and watching over the now calming down skinbags around them.

Despicable.

He couldn't imagine what the hell kind of fun that could be, being a babysitter to overgrown toddlers. He found himself down his tree and walking towards the crystal blue waters. Looking at how Pathfinder would wave at his now exhausted friends sunbathing, he felt extremely bitter. All this time, Pathfinder had been busy doing whatever garbage he was to please his friends, never taking a moment to look for where he was to see him even.

He began walking into the beautiful water, perfectly warm to wash away the uncomfortable heat of the sun. He kept walking until his legs were mostly submerged. He turned around to look at Pathfinder once more and found himself cursing to himself when the MRVN was chatting with the damn decoy guy. He let out a long suffering huff before folding, letting his torso splash loudly into the water, making sure parts of him were still visible. And as lovely as the sea creature company were, he was already losing patience and plotting to crush the stupid things.

However before he could reach and crush the first snail daring to look his way, a hand reached around his chest and pulled him up, tearing him from his little world where he had even forgotten for a moment why he was there. And just like that he was in Pathfinder's arms. His chest squeaking against the comically large floaty in the crook of his elbow as the other came around and under his bottom and lifted him from the water. His hands came to rest on Pathfinder's screen and to hold on to the handles.

Suddenly the stupid pretty beach seemed quite alright. Feeling a little more than satisfied with the attention, he brought his face down to nuzzle Pathfinder's optic, who in turn pressed a kiss against his lips. And painfully, just as fast as it had happened, Pathfinder placed the floaty on the water and then so gently lowered Revenant on it, then turned and walked away, leaving behind a stunned and speechless Simulacrum.

He couldn't believe that just happened. Just as he had finally managed to get Pathfinder's attention, it was gone in a flash.

He stared at the floaty, wondering if he should stab it, but it wasn't right as it was Pathfinder’s and he does work hard for the money. He splashed right in the money face first, completely tired of the situation and just wanting to go home by now.

But just like magic, he heard splashing sounds come closer to him and he lifted his face, seeing Pathfinder with a spring in his steps come to him. Revenant felt pleased. He hummed in delight when Pathfinder came to him and pulled him out of the water.

”Be careful. Salty water is really bad for our mechanics,” Pathfinder said and Revenant couldn’t care less. He was getting what he wanted.

”Uhuh,” He wrapped his arms around Pathfinder’s screen and just soaking in the sweet energy of the MRVN.

”I have to go now, please be careful,” And again Pathfinder was quick to leave, slipping so fast from Revenant’s hands he had no time to even say no. To stay with him. Let the others rot.

Again he was semi floating in the floaty. Feeling more frustrated than usual. He started pushing the floaty and himself deeper into the waters and hoping for Pathfinder to come ”save him”.

And thankfully Pathfinder would always realise what was going on and with great speed he was marching to Revenant who was now mostly submerged in water, once more face down and still holding on the floaty.

”What am I supposed to do with you,” Pathfinder seemed rather puzzled but Revenant was just glad he could get more. This time he wrapped his arms and legs around Pathfinder’s body, humming as he pressed his face on Pathfinder’s optic. He sighed and when Pathfinder attempted again he tightened his hold, causing both of them to fall in the ocean. Pathfinder seemed to realise now what Revenant wanted and just went with it, though he felt like he needed to keep tabs on his friends- ”forget about them. They’ll be fine. Just stay with me,”.

It was hard. He wanted to help his friends but seeing how Revenant needed him he decided to let go.

The floaty was now fully water board. Combining both robots in water made the floaty just sink and lose the air it had. It seemed their hard lines must have sliced the thing, which Revenant didn’t mind. He knew he could get Pathfinder something better.

”Is everything okay?” Pathfinder asked and Revenant just hummed again.

”Yeah
