Mobius was busy working in her lab. Yeah, another typical day it seems. Sebastian peeks around the corner, finding her still working.
S : Mobius.
M : Hmm? What is it?
S : It’s been hours. Take a break.
M : I will when this is done. If that is all, leave me be for now.
S : It’s not healthy.
M : I know what I’m doing.
S : Sigh
A year passes
S : Mobius.
M : Mmm.
S : Here’s your lunch. I’ll place it by the table.
M : Thanks.
S : … Please take a break, it’s already half a day. Are you even comfortable working with her in there?
M : I’m fine, please.
S : Sigh
2 years pass
S : Mobius.
M : Hmm.
S : Come on, it’s break time.
M : Yeah, yeah, maybe in a bit.
? : Mama?
Mobius pauses. Unlike the last few times, she looks up from her bench.
M : Yes, Klein?
K : I want to play!
M : Eh..uh, maybe later. Mama’s...... busy right now. Go with papa and play with your sisters and brothers.
K : Oh downcast okay…..
Mobius watches for a moment as her daughter walks away sadly before looking at her notes. She looks back at Klein, at her notes again, then at Klein who is already beside Sebastian.
“What am I even doing…”
M : Computer. Hibernate all processes and set the samples to storage. We’ll continue them tomorrow.
K & S : ?
M : Now come on, you said you wanted to play? I heard the water park is open and quite lovely at this time of the year.
K : Ha! Yay! Mama the best!
Mobius picks up Klein, who attempts to bear hug her while Sebastian just smiles. Mobius sees his reaction though, and passes him with a smile of her own.
S : I suppose some things change for the better.
M : Heh. Now come on, don’t get left behind or I’ll leave you locked inside next time.
S : Haha, coming!
