Chapter 1: sleepy~

Chapter Text

Shoto was getting really sleepy by now. He had scrolled on his phone for about 30 minutes before slipping in his futon, but he might as well have slept holding his phone to his face.

Today had been extremily exhausting because he had had extra training with his irritating father and studied for an exam the next day. That’s why he was scrolling on his phone before sleeping(he wouldn’t usually do that), but as mentioned it wasn’t of much use.

The room was a little humid because of the heat outside so Shoto set up a fan in case Sero came in, which looked a little out of place in the traditional japanese room. He didn’t know if sero was going to join him to cuddle because it wasn’t thursday, but tuesday. Shoto felt excited for thursday, but he labeled that emotion as some sort of fear.

He had almost fallen alseep when he heard a gentle knock on his dorm door.

Somehow he knew it was Sero. He was pulled from his forming dreams as he mutterred a low “come in” through the sleep clouding his brain.

Sero slowly opened the door, swept in and closed the door behind himself. He saw Shoto rubbing his eyes, wanting to get a good look of Sero through the darkness. He turned the fan on. The wind blew his face and ruffled his hair continuously as he sat up, seeing Sero setting his phone on the table and getting closer to the futon.

It wasn’t made for two people but usually they could manage it. Sero was very lightly dressed in some thin sports shorts and a hero merch shirt.

He knew it would be hot in Shoto’s room.

Shoto opened the bed for Sero to slip in against his body. He put the fan on the maximum level so Sero didn’t overheat while cuddling to sleep.

Once Sero was fully comfortable in Shoto’s small bed, he realized something:“I forgot to set the alarm!”, he whispered. “I’ll do it”, answered Shoto, also whispering.

He outstreched his arm grabbed the other’s phone. He unlocked the phone easily(the wallpaper was picture of Shoto sleeping with a bit of drool on the right corner of his mouth) , being the only one except Sero himself that knew the code(he didn’t know that, though). He opened the clock app and set the alarm to 5 AM, as always.

Obviously, Sero needed to get up really soon because otherwise he might be caught out of bed by other students or Aizawa, like happened in the past and was embrassing for Sero.

Closing the phone and relaxing again, Shoto’s senses finally hit home.

Sero’s hair smelled of mint, which was probably from the 3-in-1 bottle half the boys in 3-A used.

Shoto moved his hand to the other’s hair to ruffle it to smell more mint. Sero shivered a little as tingles ran down his spine. This certainly was his favorite moment of the day.

Shoto could feel every part of Sero’s body that was against him. It was bringing a heat that the fan was taking away from him, so he kinda wanted to close it, but left it on for Sero once again. He tried freshening up Sero’s body using his quirk, as he always tried to help with temperature depending on the season.

Today Shoto was the big spoon, so he could get quite a good view of Sero’s face, and his whole body if positioned right.

His jawline, particularly.

He eyed the other’s skin through the darkness. There was a few pimples here and there, but for the most part, Sero’s skin was pretty clear.

He hads eye bags form lack of sleep, and his whole eye area was quite red. “Did he cry?”, wondered Shoto. But then he guessed the other one would talk if he needed to, because sometimes he did.

Another smell came to Shoto’s nose as he pressed his chest against the other’s back and wrapped his arms around Sero’s belly. He was probably wearing cologne or something, because his neck had a light smell of musk accompanied by orange and, lastly, some flowers Shoto’s couldn’t put a name on.

Shoto could feel sleep clouding his now quiet mind again as he closed his eyes and let his senses lead him to sleep.

Sero had closed his eyes a while ago, but sleep was finally getting to him when he felt Shoto’s eyelashes stop moving against the skin of his neck.

He started breathing deeply like he does when he sleeps and it sounded like music to Shoto’s ears.

It was quiet in the 3A dorm.

They both went to sleep in the peace of the warm traditionally japanese room.

***

Momo had come into Jiro’s room with the pretext of needing help to study for the Japanese exam of the next day.

She is first in the class in for subject, so she helped jiro instead.

They had actually studied from 7 to 11, but after that they were just talking about random stuff. Jiro had taken a “nap” leaning on a Momo that tried to study again, but it turns out they both fell alseep.

Who knew talking with your best-friend-and-crush could tire so much?

Momo had woken up to someone’s alarm(who the hell wakes up at 5 when classes start at 9:30??) and suddenly realized what had happened. She picked up her stuff around Jiro’s room and hurried out of the door, all while making the least sound possible not to wake up the other (which she had put to bed).

She almost screamed when she saw Sero walking down the same corridor as her, but the other way.

He was seemingly half asleep.

Somehow Yaomomo was reminded of Shoto when she passed him. “My mind is acting up because of the lack of sleep”, she though, rushing to her bed. She wondered if she smelled like Jiro, since she had been in her room for a while.

She guessed Sero was with Shoto, but didn’t think about it farther than that because she just remembered random details about her visit in Jiro “kingdom”.

She got into bed but her brain wouldn’t just shut up after being with her crush.

The large bed softened under her weight, her curves, as her brain yapped away.

She thought about Jiro’s hair and the way it fit her style and personality perfectly. Also the way it smelled of lavander-

There was also the way Kyouka’s cheeks would get sprinkled of this sweet pink when Yaomomo looked at her for too long.

Unlike Kyouka, Momo wasn’t the best for staring unoticed, and it’s not as if she didn’t like seeing the other one blush, so she often stared deeply at Jiro’s mouvements, her hair, her face, her body(legit everything), while hinting the other one she had a crush on her.

When you think about, openely staring can be quite useful. Unless you get embarrassed easily.

Yaomomo was also very observant of her surroundings during that visit.

Jiro’s room was a little messy, with papers and clothes at random places, but Momo understood why it was like that: Jiro knew where everything was.

On some of those papers you could see words. Now, this may seem obvious, but Jiro actually writes songs and limericks, so it wasn’t just school stuff or whatever. She told Yaomomo about it, but nothing more.

Momo was very curious about what Kyouka writes, but she didn’t want to make a breach in Jiro’s privacy, so she didn’t ask about it(yet).

She wondered why Kyouka hasn’t talked about more than just “yeah, I write songs and limericks”, because usually she’d talk about things for hours on end.

Momo also saw a number of discs around the room. There was of every genre: Rock, Pop, Indie, K-pop, J-pop, but also a lot of music she didn’t know.

Jiro said it was Vocaloid and told her she’d make her listen to a few songs next time they’d hang(“that would be tomorrow”, Yaomomo thought). Jiro had about 56 stickers on her headphones(the ones Yaomomo had gotten her on her birthday: she chose them black knowing the other one would put stickers all over them) and Yaomomo found it cute when she wore them and moved her head to the music’s beat.

She wondered how they would listen to Vocaloid, because she too had unsharable Beats.

“We’ll figure that out, I guess.”

Because of Jiro, Momo became—severely—obsessed with the odour lavander, to the point of getting a room scent of that odor. She sprays it in her room everyday, and renews her glass of dried lavander everytime she goes back home(she has some in her garden).

Not only does that odor soothe her, but it also tells her brain to shut up about school stuff, and fills it up with Kyouka stuff instead.

Sometimes it’s not any better when trying to get sleep, but at least it relaxes her.

She looked around the room and instantly grabbed the glass of lavander and gave it a good, audible, snif. Her eyes fluttered closed once again as she tried to keep Kyouka off her mind-

Her pretty face kept reappearing in Yaomomo’s mind as she tried to get more sleep. She had slept about 5 hours in Jiro’s room, so only two or three hours of sleep would do the job. Usually she could fall alseep quite easily, but after today’s, or rather tonight’s, events she had some difficulty to do so.

She took a deep breath in, held it, and let it out and started over again a few times. Momo took some of the sheets off of her to get some fresh air.

She got into a light daze that was filled of Jiro, her brain trying to think about her crush again…

When she finally felt her body get on sleep mode again, she started breathing normally and fell alseep shortly after.

***

Shoto woke up alone in his bed, again. The sounds of class 3A had pulled him from his peaceful slumber at about 8. He had heard Sero’s alarm, sooner, but before letting him go he gave the other a “short”(not that short) hug under the sheets, letting him know he was awake.

Shoto swiftly got up and started his day as usual.

Sero had cried himself to sleep, though he assumed nobody knew that. The way Shoto didn’t to want to let him go at 5 made him crack again.

He had been pining Shoto for a long time, but he didn’t even know if Shoto was into men.

Sero was what you could say is “hopelessly in love”. He often looked up ways to make Shoto realize Sero like him, but it was never of great use, since Shoto is quite dense for that kind of thing…

On Momo’s side, she had woken up at about 8:30. Joining jiro for breakfast, she remembered Kyouka’s cute sleepy face from yesterday and smiled through her boiled egg.
“Hah, why are you smiling?”, Jiro asked between two bites of rice.
“Oh, because you’re-”
“HEYY! Are you ready to slay today’s exam guyss?”, Denki said, coming into the common room and saving Momo.
“I guess-?”, said Jiro with little confidence. Yaomomo gave her a reassuring smile.

Sero was eating facing Shoto, and they were both on their phones, looking at the same notes. Sero’s eyebags were a bit less pronounced than yesterday, but his eyes were of the same red. Shoto didn’t miss that. But there was no exam tomorrow, so they could talk tonight if Sero needed to.

Jiro and Momo revised one more time in Momo’s room, rereading Momo’s notes for 50th time by now. Jiro knew them by heart, which was a good thing since everything was there. With the help of Yaomomo, Kyouka had taken a little more confidence in her Japanese writing and reading.

They all went to class together and took the exam without much effort.

Out of Denki.

Poor him.

Shinsou had come to help him out with that a few days before, but they forgot to study.
