Daemon Targaryen knew naught of a women's love from the age of six and ten to well into adulthood. Married for duty, not for love, he endured. His affections find a place in common whores and pleasure houses, anywhere but his lady wife's bed. Stagnant, so unlike his family's forging fire onward.
Aemma Targaryen had birthed a baby girl. Rhaenyra Targaryen is a child born of love, not duty. Daemon had always disliked children, but perhaps this one had not been bad. The Realm's Delight, what man could not fall in love with such? But, Daemon protected his dear niece from those greedy men.
