Summary
Eddie doesn't die in vol 2, instead Steve is left feeling like everything should have changed somehow. It hasn't. Everything continues on.
After Venca, things start to slow down, the people start to go about their business. The scars on Hawkins stay though, the town still with huge splits through the earth but no longer drawing people into the upside down. The ash in the air clears and everyone not in-the-know just… gets on with their lives. A freak earthquake, they say. These things happen, they say, shrugging their shoulders.
Personally, Steve thinks it's kinda bullshit.
