A roller coaster ride. That was what it was like to be Takahashi Misaki. From the way he fell in love with the craziest pervert Usami Akihiko to how he ended up moving in with him, dating him, sharing his life with him, meeting his even crazier family and everything else, it was quite the ride.
So of course it had to be him who answered the door on this supposedly peaceful morning to accept this most random package ever.
“Please sign here, sir,” the courier told him, and Misaki did as he was told while he eyed the box curiously. It was addressed to him, and when he opened it, this random message greeted him in merry red:
Happy L.A.!
“Happy L.A.?” Misaki mumbled out loud. “Los Angeles?”
He turned the message around to find something that made more sense. Just a little more.
Dear Misaki,
Congratulations on getting a Live Action serialization of Usami-san’s successful book Under The Planets. Congratulate him with this reward: a live action projection of his own fantasies. That will do him good. Send him my regards.
ー Sumi
..... “SUMI-SENPAI?!” Misaki blurted out, and he quickly gulped and covered his mouth. That guy would still pop into his life once in a while with weird things like this. Misaki’s heart pounded when he took the contents of the box out.
Usagi-san’s... fantasies? He gasped when he recognized what he was holding as something that wasn’t unfamiliar to him. The bear costume he wore at the school festival, long ago.
“WAh!” Misaki dropped the costume in shock as if it was on fire. Dress like a bear, for Usami?! Misaki felt like laughing and crying. Sumi was a weird guy, but not necessarily a bad person. After all this time he still seemed to like Usami, even keeping track of his recent accomplishments.
Yes, Misaki was proud that Usami’s book was so successful that he had been approached by a studio to have it serialized. Surely the man himself wasn’t too fond of it, but after encouragement by Misaki, it was now starting production.
L.A.... Live Action. Heh, good one. Of course Misaki had congratulated him, but he wondered if maybe he was a bad boyfriend for not awarding Usami with a gift or something. Well, he didn’t have so much money and Usami got plenty of sexual rewards already. Ugh.. Misaki rolled his eyes at just remembering last night’s adventures.
That man was getting rewards all along. But maybe.... Maybe Sumi-senpai was right? Wearing this bear costume could make him happy. It was pretty easy. Usami loved bears. Misaki sighed and picked up the box so he could take it upstairs.
Usami wasn’t going to be back until dinner. He still had plenty of time to consider before then. So Misaki comfortably took his time and went through his day as if he did not receive this mysterious package at all. Then when he did think things through some more, he decided to unpack the bear costume so he could try it on. It really brought him back to the school festival.
Charming people as a bear only for them to get terrorized at their haunted house was really one of the weirdest and actually meanest things he had ever done. Heh. Although Misaki was sure he had grown a bit since then, he still fit the suit perfectly. It was definitely the same one - or if Sumi didn’t raid his old college, it was the same model, complete with ribbon and derpy face.
“Hmmmm.” Misaki stared at his bear-self in the mirror. “Nah!” he cried. He looked ridiculous! Better nothing than make a fool of himself like this. Besides, it was Sumi’s idea. Not really Usami’s favorite person to be reminded of.
Yeah, Sumi could wear that thing himself wherever he was. Return to sender. Misaki raised his hands to take off the bear head. But then...
“Misaki....?”
Misaki literally jumped up high. He was quite almost a flying bear, at least, for like a split second.
“USAGIWAAAAAAAHH!” he shrieked. He turned around, panting and wheezing from the sudden scare.
“Usagi-san wah! When did you get back?!” When! Why! How! How did Misaki not even hear him arrive? Because he was trying on a bear costume and worrying about it like an idiot - he replied to himself in his mind.
“I messaged you that I’d be early. The signing got postponed.”
“No way, such a last minute change?” Misaki chirped.
“Nah. Aikawa’s just been a bit scatterbrained. Our schedule has been a little crazy since the live action announcement.”
Misaki jolted at the mention of ‘live action’. RIGHT. Live action! Misaki... was a bear right now!
“But eh yeah, why are you wearing that?” Usami asked, pointing at him as he clearly noticed that Misaki was indeed a bear. Why...? Why? Misaki didn’t even mind anymore that he was about to take it off. He even kept the bear head on and crossed his arms. He just felt offended at the lack of enthusiasm!
“What do you mean why? Don’t you like it? You like bears, I’m a bear now.”
Usami chuckled. “You’re Misaki. You don’t need to be a bear for me to like you.”
Misaki blushed but luckily that was covered by the bear head. “You’re too spoiled, you know that?” Misaki grumbled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Usami hummed playfully. “Oh, what is this?” he said, walking over to where the emptied box still was on the bed. Including Sumi’s message.
“L.... A....? Hmm.. Los Angeles?” Usami said, reading the red letters already.
“WAH! No-nothing! Nothing!” Misaki barked, grabbing the paper. He panicked slightly and decided to bring it towards his collar where he shoved it under his suit to hide it, pushing it down as much as possible. Usami cocked his head.
“Clearly it’s something,” he said, smirking. “Can I see that?” he asked.
“No!” Misaki cried. If Usami saw that he was most likely going to get mad. Thinking he’d be all buddy buddy with Sumi while it was only sometimes something strange like this. Misaki did not feel like dealing with this drama now.
“Go get changed. I... I’ll get changed too,” Misaki said shyly. Usami was dressed in his neat suit. Misaki was in a bear suit. Surely they looked like the funny couple, but he was sweating in this suit already because of this little secret.
Usami only smirked and stepped further towards him. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said, making Misaki back away until he couldn’t go further than the wall that stopped him, feeling cold against his back even through the bear suit. A refreshing feeling he welcomed because man he was feeling hot right now!
“What is this Los Angeles thing? Are you going somewhere, hmm is that it?” Usami asked, and Misaki gasped in surprise when Usami took his bear head off him, now looking him straight in the eyes. Misaki pressed his lips together and shook his head.
“I said it’s nothing!” he said, blushing like crazy.
“I don’t believe you one bit,” Usami said, and he brought his hand down and clawed at Misaki’s side, hidden beneath the thick bear suit but still vulnerable, especially now that he was cornered by his beast of a boyfriend.
“U-U-Usahahagi-san plehehease I swehear it’s nothing! AHah gahaah-plehease just gohoho!” Misaki giggled hysterically, giggling while he squirmed weakly against the wall. He had forgotten the bear costume included these soft paws he had instead of his own feet right now, so when he laughed and writhed some more, he let out a yell in surprise when his feet slipped and he slid to the floor.
Usami caught him swiftly, but instead of pulling him up, he lowered him to the floor. “If you don’t show me, I’m going to tickle this cute bear to death,” Usami sang, now prodding and poking mercilessly at Misaki’s bear-sides. Misaki was screaming.
“AHAHAH! USAGI-SAHAHAN! It ihihisn’t fahahair!” he cackled, kicking his feet -eh, paws - and hugging his big fluffy arms tightly around his chest even if all of that did nothing. He was a big fluffy bear and still helpless to Usami Akihiko’s tickles.
Usami bent over him and crawled those nasty fingers all over his sensitive torso. Some spots seemed to be somehow better protected under the thick costume than others, so whenever Usami hit a real ticklish spot really good and it was more vulnerable than other spots, Misaki let out this hysterical shriek and he threw his head back.
What was even worse; Usami started to take down the zipper of his costume, revealing some of his ticklish body to him and then more and more while his other hand continued to claw mercilessly up and down. From hip to side and ribs and all the way back down, making Misaki squeal and struggle hysterically beneath him.
“AHhaahaha! Hahahave mehehehercy!” Misaki howled.
“I’m the one asking you to have mercy, Misaki. Stop hiding things from me,” Usami urged on, not ceasing the tickling any bit. Misaki weakly tried to lift his arms from his body that just curled up as an automatic response, all so he could try and swat at Usami’s hand that kept taking the zipper further down to undress him, but he was just too ticklish to stretch his arm.
“Ehehehe! Plehehease Usagi-san!” he gasped, but Usami had now undressed his upper body and started to dig around, feeling around his sides that were now poorly protected by his thin T-shirt.
“Now where did you hide it hm?”
“NO-NAahaha nowhehehere!” Misaki laughed. In his pants, but due to the struggling he could feel the paper slide a bit down his legs. At least it was down there safe, but Misaki feared that his merciless boyfriend really wasn’t going to give up until he’d finally see Sumi’s letter with his own eyes.
Something Misaki should just settle with. Should, yeah. But could he? No!
“Staaahahap! Not thehehere it ihhihisn’t there!” Misaki shrieked when Usami grabbed his arm and pinned it above his head so he could wiggle his fingers against his exposed armpit. He arched his back and kicked with his paws.
“Then maybe around here?” Usami said, walking his fingers like little spider legs down his outstretched ribcage and sides, causing Misaki to resume his howling and hysterical squealing fest.
“HEHEHEH! USAGI-SAHAHAN! IT’S NOT!” he yelled.
“Then did you hide it.. down here?” Usami’s fingers went further down and it was almost getting lewd as he pushed the bear fabric down to uncover his bottom half. Misaki bit his lip and shook his head.
“Nohoho! Not dohohown thehehere!” he laughed foolishly. Of course it was there. He couldn’t have magically sucked that thing into his butt, even if he wanted to.
Still, Usami raised his eyebrows and nodded as if buying that useless lie.
“Not down here huh? Then.... here?” Suddenly both his hands were on Misaki’s tummy and just... absolutely wrecked him. Misaki lost it there and he threw his head back, laughing for his dear bear life.
“AHAHAH! NOHO! BAWAHAH!” he roared, struggling wildly, but Usami grabbed him and held him close. Misaki’s kicking actually caused him to get undressed even more as the bear suit slid down his legs, but he couldn’t help it. It tickled so bad!
“Plehehease Usagi-san! I reheheally am not hihiding ahahanything!” he tried to reason with the damn tickle monster he loved so much, but Usami held him fondly and continued to attack his stomach without mercy.
“Hm? I’m afraid I didn’t catch that Misaki~” he teased. Usami must’ve been so into the tickling that he barely noticed Misaki’s kicking feet finally kicked off the last bit of the suit. Misaki noticed first, of course.
“AAAAHH!” he yelled suddenly in an entirely different voice for a different reason than just feeling ticklish, and it must’ve surprised Usami since he actually released him and watched how Misaki jumped at the suit that now lay at his feet. He grabbed it in his arms and held it close to him.
“Oh? It got off,” Usami said plainly, crawling after him.
“NO! Nothing in here!” Misaki yelled, making a little ball of the costume while he curled his body around it. Usami shook his head.
“You must understand that the more you try to hide it from me, the more I want to see it? Why don’t you surrender already? No secrets between us, hm?” Usami said in a cute voice, and Misaki’s eyes widened when he felt Usami’s fingers climb towards his poor already tormented torso again.
“Please noooo,” he whined.
“Please yeees,” Usami whined back, and he plunged his unusually big fingers into his sides again, tickling him fiercely up and down before going all the way up where they tortured his armpits until Misaki thought he was going to die laughing.
“AHAHAHAH!” He tried to roll away, crawl away, and tears were dripping onto the bear suit. Tears from laughter that actually turned into something else. Some sadness and anxiety. Things were just going so well between them. Usami was feeling so happy lately, Misaki too. He didn’t want Sumi to come into their lives again and stir things up.
“Hehehe, and now you are going to show me,” Usami said, grabbing Misaki’s ankles and suddenly attacking his feet with ruthless tickles.
“EEEYEHHE! Nohohoo!” Misaki whined, crying more. He then sobbed loudly and Usami stopped abruptly.
“I eh... Misaki? Wait, are you crying?” Usami came back to see his face and he looked shocked.
“Did I go too far?” he asked, looking genuinely concerned. Misaki frowned at him and glared, his face teary and snotty, and he sniffled.
“You did!” he whined, but he immediately shook his head. “...not! You didn’t, I just... I don’t want you to get mad,” he said. “I really had nothing to do with it,” he said, breathing heavily.
Usami looked at him in confusion. “....What is it?” he asked. The mood suddenly felt heavy. Of course without knowing what it was, not even Usami would tell Misaki that it was going to be alright and no way would he be angry. So still unsure and hesistant, Misaki unfolded the bear suit and took out the crumbled paper.
When he gave it, their hands touched briefly and made Misaki’s skin tingle childishly, and he watched and held his breath while Usami turned the paper and read Sumi’s letter.
“....Sumi?” he wondered, and from the change in his expression Misaki could see he thought of the father first, but then he must’ve realized this was someone else.
“That guy?” he asked.
Misaki pouted. “My college friend, yes. The guy you felt jealous of, yes. The guy who then tried to seduce you... yes,” he sighed. He really picked the worst friends ever.
“Though it was quite long ago..” Misaki tried, and he searched Usami’s face for hints of anger or annoyance. There actually wasn’t an emotion at all, but then he just chuckled.
“Geez. I dislike him,” he said, but he looked at Misaki with twinkling eyes. “I do, but more than I dislike this guy... I like Misaki, in this bear suit,” he said, moving towards Misaki who still had the furry costume in his lap. Usami placed his hands on top of it, leaned close to him and kissed his lips.
They kissed until the last bit of Misaki’s remaining breath felt like it got taken away, and he gripped his lover’s shoulders tightly and begged for air. Usami released him and stroked his cheek fondly.
“Heh, he is right. Though it annoys me it was his idea, this is a reward that pleases me,” Usami said, smirking at Misaki and he patted the soft costume.
“Would you put it back on?” he asked. Misaki puffed his cheeks and blushed.
“I don’t know. I still can’t believe I worried so much and you just laugh it off,” he said, now almost sounding as if he was offended Usami didn’t get mad. He hated himself sometimes.
“That, I can’t believe either. Why were you so worried?” Usami asked.
“Because! We’re doing so well lately, I didn’t want anything, or anyone to come and ruin that!” Misaki snapped, and he gulped in surprise. Woops. Feelings.
Usami looked at him in surprise. He then smiled, displaying so much fondness and affection with just one look that Misaki felt like bursting through the roof for spewing all this nonsense just now.
“You’re too cute,” Usami said. “Anything can happen at anytime. Let’s not hide things from each other, okay?” he asked. Misaki pouted. Just sometimes.. very sometimes, when he wasn’t trying to fuck Misaki silly all the time, when he wasn’t pouting about the flavor of his coffee and when he wasn’t grabbing at his stuffed teddy bears all the time, Usami could be the mature adult.
Misaki grinned. “Okay,” he said. Usami then prodded him with the bear suit he held in his hand.
“So? Would you wear it again? I didn’t get a proper look earlier,” he teased. Misaki blushed and went back into his fussy mode.
“No! I wore it already!”
“Wear it again. Would tickling you work?” Usami asked, making Misaki gasp in shock and he got up and quickly started to run.
“NO! Nohoho!” he giggled, and he squealed when Usami ran after him. Misaki knew he wouldn’t be able to escape Usami, but... He actually willingly would lure him into their bed so Usami would change his mind about round 2 of deadly tickles and think of something else instead.
Because yes, once in a while this mood came: After Usami showed such a sweet and caring side, Misaki really felt like making love to him, and he wanted it right now!
