Chapter Text

- The Leader -

„Just because I haven’t hurt you yet it doesn’t mean that I won’t do it at all”

Bang Christopher Chan had always been a smart boy. In his younger years, school was a piece of cake for him; He would get straight A’s in every subject, on a daily basis. He was also a social butterfly, there was no one in his school who genuinely disliked him, even the teachers were fond of him.

Chan was a true ace, he excelled in everything he did, he was likeable by everyone, he was a good student, and he was a sometimes shy, but nice boy. Being this successful already, while he was still just a child, everyone expected Chan to soon take over his father’s business when he was older.

But their expectations were failed when Chan opened a restaurant instead.

Chan always had a love for cooking. But, sadly, he wasn’t able to express it, with the other people in his life putting faith in him to follow his fathers’s footsteps.

Everyone was quite disappointed when they heard the news. Especially Chan’s father. He felt that his son had let him down, however, with Chan’s close relationship with his mother, it wasn’t a big surprise.

After all, Chan always took after his mother. He would take cooking lessons with her whenever his father wasn’t around, and he would always prefer spending time with her, rather than with his father.

Not that his father ever had time to spend with his family.

Mr Bang was a busy man. Of course he was, as the CEO of Korea’s biggest business he had a lot to do. Even when he was home for once, he was doing paper work, having important phone calls, or taking a long awaited nap.

Mr Bang was practically not present in Chan’s life, therefore it wasn’t a big shock when the young boy had a better relationship to his mother, rather than his father.

Mrs Bang was very important to Chan. If he was asked who he loved more, Chan’s answer would always be his mother. After all, she was the only one who really made an effort to raise and love him as her son, rather than just an heir to a shitty business.

When his mother died, a part of Chan died as well. He would start to feel lonely as he was now the only one in the house, with his father barely being home, and he would also start to cry and occasionally have panic attacks whenever he set a foot into his mother’s kitchen.

Chan was heartbroken and depressed.

He couldn’t bring himself to cook for years, not until he eventually got over his trauma and decided to open a restaurant, to honour his precious mother, and with his father’s money it was quite easy for Chan to achieve his dream.

Chan was starting to cope with his mother’s death, and he was slowly starting to enjoy cooking again. He started off with cleaning the kitchen from time to time, which already was hard enough since he could barely even step a foot into the room without bursting into tears, but after only a few months he allowed himself to help in his restaurant’s kitchen, along with his employees.

He was starting to think that he was slowly healing, …

But even Chan himself was not aware of the darkness that was unleashed, and now growing deep inside of him.
